Description

Itinerary

Day 1: Nauta - Rio Yarapa
- Pick up from your hotel or airport in a private car at around 8:30 a.m. from Iquitos. After a drive of about 1.5 hours, we reach the town of Nauta.
In Nauta, we change to a boat typical of this region, which takes us to the lodge in 2 hours. Sail on the two main rivers of the Amazon, the Rio.
Reach the lodge located on the serene Rio Yarapa within the nature reserve. - Enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge, prepared with fresh local ingredients.
- Embark on a boat excursion to search for and observe the unique river dolphins of the Amazon region. Keep your eyes peeled for both the pink and gray river dolphins.
After dinner, we set off for our night excursion on foot to search for snakes, frogs, spiders and everything the jungle has in store for us.
- Pick up from your hotel or airport in a private car at around 8:30 a.m. from Iquitos. After a drive of about 1.5 hours, we reach the town of Nauta.

Day 2: Birds and Animals Sighting by Boat
- We start our day with an early morning excursion.
- At around 5 am, we can see monkeys and many colourful birds and witness the sunrise.
- After the excursion, a rich breakfast with coffee, fruits, etc., awaits us at the lodge.
- After breakfast, we set off again on foot to discover the rainforest and get a chance to observe animals.
- Gain knowledge about medicinal plants with us and survival skills in the jungle, for example, how to find water and food or how to build a shelter for the night.
- In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion up the river in a boat, look for sloths, monkeys, parrots, etc., and be surprised at what nature offers. Next, look at two breathtaking lakes.
- At the end of the second day, we will go looking for caimans after dusk by boat.

Day 3: Fishing Opportunity - Departure
- After breakfast, we take the boat to a nearby lake where the famous giant water lilies grow.
- Try fishing for piranhas. Piranhas are the most feared fish in the Amazon. We can taste the fish if we are lucky and catch a piranha.
- After lunch, our boat will wait for us and return to Nauta.
- We will end our Iquitos tour between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
