Uros Floating Island Tour
At 9.00 am, transfer to the Port of Puno from your selected hotel.
Enjoy a beautiful motorboat journey (30 min.) amidst reeds.
Arrive at Uros region, an archipelago of more than 60 man-made floating islands inhabited by the Uros, an ethnic group of fishermen that are part of an ancestral group. Very little is known about their origins.
Step on these man-made reed platforms which feel very much like a waterbed; however, they are quite safe to walk on.
Observe a number of reed islands one next to the other, with houses and people residing in them.
Get a guided tour to 2 or 3 islands, and explore surroundings on an authentic reed raft (optional).
Return to Puno, arrive at 12.15 pm, and get transferred to the hotel.
