Description
Get a chance to explore the popular ruins of Machu Pichu in this 2-day trek along the ancient Inca trail in Peru. Visit the sites of Wiñay Wayna, Inti Punku, and watch the beautiful sunrise at Machu Pichu.
Itinerary

Day 1 : Reach Aguas Calientes
- Pick up from the hotel at 5:30 am in the private taxi, and head to the train station at Ollantaytambo to board the train at 7:45 am.
- Travel by train for 1 hour 30 minutes until we reach to the start of the trail.
- Start to walk up and continue for 4 hours approximately to the Inca site Wiñay Wayna ('Forever Young') 2650m.
- After exploring the Inca site, continue to 'Inti Punku' ('Sun gate') 2720m for about 1 hour. See the first panoramic view of Machu Picchu at 2400m.
- Take a 1-hour downward walk down to get to Machu Picchu.
- Go down to Aguas Calientes to spend the night and to have dinner.
- Visit the thermal springs in the town after finishing the trail.

Day 2 : Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu
- Have breakfast at the hotel, and then take the first bus between 5:30 am and 6:00 am up to Machu Picchu to see the sunrise.
- Optional - Climb Wayna Picchu (2720 M) in the first group at 7:00 am. It will take between 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the top of this mountain.
- After enjoying the beautiful views from the top, go down to Machu Picchu to explore the mysterious Inca city with the guide.
- Meet the guide in Aguas Calientes for lunch and get the train tickets back to Cusco. The train usually leaves at 16:43 pm from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo.
- From there, return to the hotel in Cusco.
