Itinerary

Lake Paron Hiking Tour
Pick up from the hotel at 6:00 am in Huaraz.
Travel through the Callejon de Huaylas valley.
Pass by the small villages of Paltay, Jangas, Yungar, Anta and Tarica.
Cross the Rio Santa on the left side and appreciate the beauty of the snow-capped mountains of Huandoy, Huascaran, Hualcan, Copa and others on the way.
Continue through the Marcara district and then to Carhuaz.
Walk around the Plaza de Armas and proceed to the historical province of Yungay.
Move to Caraz city and start the unpaved trail going up along the Paron River where a lot of eucalyptus trees can be seen near typical houses of peasants.
Drive up to the wonderful valley, full of Polylepis trees called Quenuales.
Arrive at Paron Lake and enjoy walking around the lake.
Return to the hotel in Huaraz.
