Itinerary

1. Day 1: Lima to Nazca

   • Leave for Nazca. The city is located on the Ica River about 460 km to the south of Lima, along the desert coast of southern Peru. Further south along the Pan American Highway lies the city of Nazca.

   •  Arrive in Nazca and drive to Nazca Airport.

   • Take a flight to Nazca Lines for a flight over the enigmatic Nazca Lines. The enormous linear drawings of animals, birds and geometric figures remain etched in the desert, and they can only be appreciated from the air.

   • Visit the Huacachina Lagoon that is surrounded by sand dunes.

   • Ride the dune buggy cars that will take you through the Ica desert up and down the dunes. Go on sandboarding. 

   • See the sunset from the desert.

   • Drive to Paracas Peninsula. See the most important Wildlife Sanctuary on the Peruvian Coast.

2. Day 2: Ballestas Island to Lima

   • Drive to prier for your tour to Ballestas Islands.

   • Boat excursion to the Ballestas Islands. Spot sea lions, boobies, pelicans, penguins and other Sea birds.

   • On the way back, see Candelabro- a giant figure etched in sand on the side of a hill.

   • After visiting the boulevard de Paracas, the guide will take you to visit the Paracas Reserve. This is a huge protected area located southwest of the city of Pisco. The name of this beautiful place is derived from a Quechua word meaning sand rain. The Paracas National Reserve is also very important for the abundant aquatic life.

   • Take the bus back to Lima.
