Moray - Maras Salt Mine Day Tour
Start your Maras day tour by driving for about 50kms away from Cusco.
Upon arrival, explore the visually stunning Inca ruins of Moray. This area has several terraced circular depressions, which were used for irrigation. These ruins in Moray were also used as an ancient agricultural lab.
In the afternoon, visit the Salt Mines near Maras. There are over 6,000 man-made salt pans in this region, which are fully operational even today. They are also known as Maras salt evaporation ponds.
Return to Cusco in the evening.
