Muscat Tour
- Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location in Muscat and begin the tour.
Visit the ancient village, Al Hamra Heritage Village and Bait Al Safa living history museum where locals demonstrate old Omani traditions in a restored 400-year-old mud-brick house. You will be encouraged to take a photo dressed in national costumes.
Walk to a picturesque old mountain oasis, Misfat Al Abrieen with banana groves and garden terraces. It is possible to find famous Omani mountain honey here in one of the local shops.
Take a ride on an electric train into the depths of the stunning Al Hoota Cave to explore 2 million-year-old stalactite and stalagmite formations and admire this natural wonder in complete silence. It is 5 km long and hosts a unique ecosystem with a number of lakes where endemic Bu Naseh blind fish swim. There is also a geological exhibition showcasing a variety of rocks and corals in the Visitors Center.
Go on a short and easy hike to admire Wadi Ghul – unforgettable views of the Grand Canyon of Arabia. Mountain of the Sun is part of Hajar Mountain range and at 2,997 meters is the highest point of Oman.
