- Meet your guide at Muscat and head to Niswa Souq, the former capital of the Sultanate with deep Omani traditions.
- Visit the old market to get familiar with the local cuisine and the culinary culture by learning about different spices used in food preparation. Taste varieties of Omani halwa, dates and freshly baked bread.
- Drive to Jebel Al Akhdar to meet an Omani family and have famous Shuwa, the grilled meat which usually takes a long time while cooking, for lunch.
- Go on a nature walk to see fruits, vegetables, and rose gardens on artificial terraces alongside the mountain, stopping for Arabic coffee and dates.
- Have Mishkak, an Omani dish, grilled pieces of marinated meat, on long wooden sticks for dinner.
