Itinerary
-
Pokhara to Bhumdi
Crossing the lake with a boat, we get to the place called Chhorepatan, where we climb up to the world peace stupa.
Continuing further up to Pumdikot and to Sthirmati Hill and Kalabang to Bhumdi.
Here basic accommodation is available in some homestays or one normal lodge is available at Bhumdi. So Bhumdi would be the place of night stay.
-
Bhumdi to Panchase Bhanjyang
Right after breakfast, start the trek.
The trail from here is all the way inside the forest.
In between, we can see some small open pastures where some time flock of buffaloes or cows. Sometimes the singing noise of cicadas can be heard.
All the way up to Bhanjyang during monsoon, lots of bloodsuckers (leeches) disturb your walk if you are not prepared enough to prevent them from coming near.
There are no tea houses in between, so you need to be prepared to carry some snacks or food enough water.
After 6-7 hours, the walk will drag us to lodge us in Bhanjayang, which is a wonderful setting in itself. An impression of a hamlet, it scatters with all its rural setting.
Our night stay would be here.
-
Day trip around Panchase Peak
Early in the morning, depending on the weather, we can decide whether to wake up for sunrise or no.
After breakfast, we will start our way to Panchase lake, which has a connection with Shravan Kumar, who carried his blind parents in Kharpan for pilgrimage in different religious places to revive back their eyesight, which they lost right after the birth of Shravan Kumar because they got a boon to have children only after losing their eyesight. And it is believed in this small pond known as the lake where Shravan Kumar met his untimely death from the arrow of King Dasarath, as he mistook Shravan to be a deer as his scooping pot created deer bark-like sound.
After about a 2-3 Hours walk, we will observe this pond or lake where the temple is located.
Then we will climb up to Panchase peak. If the weather is good, then the view is perfect. Your eyes with poetic sight will unite.
Then we will descend back to the lodge, rest and relax the remaining day.
-
Bhanjyang to Pokhara
As it is mentioned above, depending on the weather, we can enjoy the sunrise.
Otherwise, after breakfast, we will continue to Bhadaure for about 3 hours stop there either for lunch or some snacks.
Then continue to Kande.
A walk would be enjoyable if the mountain vista displays in front of us without any veil curtained with the cloud.
From Kande, drive back to Pokhara to nestle and relax your tired muscles.
