Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu to Lumbini
Arrive at Lumbini, either by flight to Bhairahawa which takes 35 minutes and a 30-minute short drive to Lumbini or car via Mugling highway which is 321 km from Kathmandu.
Overnight in Lumbini.

Day 2: Lumbini
Start the Lumbini tour from the “New Tourist Village, World Peace Stupa, and museum”. The tour introduces the pilgrimage concept of the master plan of Buddhism and purifies the mind through the monastic zone.
Watch as the school of Mahayana, Theravada and Vajrayana Buddhism is spread across the canon.
Visit the next attraction, Maya Devi Temple, protecting the “Marker Stone’. The marker stone is a statue of nativity scene and ruins of old temple walls dating from 3rd BC to 12 AD.
Marvel at the Emperor Ashoka pillar as it still displays the inscription explaining his visit to the birthplace of Buddha.

Day 3: Lumbini to Tilaurakot
Take a short drive to Tilaurakot with religious and archaeological sites of Tilaurakot, Gothihawa, Kundan, Niglihara, and Sagarhawa. Tilaurakot.
Visit Tilaurakot, the ancient kingdom of Shakya’s where Buddha spent 29 years, Kundan (Nigro Dharma Park), the place where Buddha was received by his father after his access to enlightenment.
Hop ahead to Gotihawa, the birthplace of Krakuchanda Buddha. Niglihawa, the birthplace of Kanak Muni Buddha.
Finally, visit Sagarhawa, the place of the massacre of the Shakyas.

Day 4: Lumbini to Ramagram
Begin the day with a short drive and visits religious and archaeological sites at Devdaha and Ramagram. Devadaha, the ancient capital of Koliya’s and the maternal hometown of Queen Mayadevi.
Move on to Ramagram, situated at the bank of the Jharahi River, where you can see an ancient stupa consisting of a relic (one of eight astha dhatu) of Shakyamuni Buddha. The stupa was supposed to be built by the king of Ramgram, who was the eighth king to obtain the Buddha’s relics.
