Itinerary

1. Day 1- Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)

   • Arrive at the airport, and look for our representative with a placard bearing your name or the name of this travel agency.

   • Check-in to the hotel. Later in the evening, attend a small briefing on your trip ahead.

   Overnight at the hotel.

2. Day 2- Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

   • Step out for sightseeing. After breakfast, embark on a guided tour to the valley's major historical, cultural, and spiritual attractions.

   • Visit the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambunath) and the Buddhist shrine (Bouddha Nath).

   • Provide more information on your forthcoming trip, equipments and team composition for finalising official procedure and other necessary arrangements. 

   • Later in the afternoon, you can start preparations and shop for any personal items you may have forgotten for the ultimate trip of a lifetime.

3. Day 3- Drive (an hour) to Sundarijal & trek to Chisapani (2300m/7544ft): 4 hrs Trek

   • Start on an incredible Himalayan Holiday. After breakfast, after an hour's drive, reach Sundarijal (1350m), which is the starting point of the trek. The trail starts near a small hydroelectric plant and enters the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. 

   • Savour a relatively easy hike with great views as you walk under forest cover and come across the settlement of Mulkharka, inhabited mostly by the Tamang people. The trail then takes a ridge through a forest of oaks and rhododendron to Chisopani.

4. Day 4- Trek Chisopani to Kutumsang (2446m/8023ft): 7 hrs

   • Commence the hike after breakfast. Cross Pathi Bhanjyang and Gul Bhanjyang, walking through meadows and fields with great views of the Langtang mountains. 

   • Ascend to a pass from where to walk downhill and reach the village of Kutumsang.

5. Day 5- Trek Kutumsang to Tharepati (3650m/11972ft): 6 hrs

   • Climb uphill through fir and rhododendron forests where there are no permanent settlements. 

   • Reach to Yurin Danda (hilltop), giving magnificent views of the Himalayas. From here, it is a short distance walk to our halt at Tharepati.

6. Day 6- Trek to Tarkeghyang (2560m/8397ft): 6 hrs

   • Descend to the Melamchi Khola (river) before gradually ascending. During the hike, get the opportunity to walk through several Sherpa settlements with magnificent frontal views of Langtang.

   • Later, get to explore the village and rediscover the land of the Helambu, mostly because the inhabitants of this quaint village belong to the Helmu caste. 
   • Visit the Gompa here, as it is the biggest and oldest of this region.

7. Day 7- Trek to Sermathang (2,610m/8,563ft): 3/4 hrs

   • Take a leisurely hike through a wide valley between Parachin and Gangyul villages. Explore these villages and their culture. The people of this village practice Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism which is the same as the national religion of Bhutan.

8. Day 8- Trek to Malemchi Bazaar & Drive to Kathmandu: 4 hrs trek and 2 hr drive

   • As we conclude our fascinating and incredible journey, take a short hike down to the Melamchi Pul (bridge) Bazaar, where you catch your transport back to Kathmandu. A farewell dinner awaits you on the completion of the trek!

9. Day 9- Departure

   • Drive with the representative to the airport in time for your flight back home. We ensure that that you leave Nepal, cherishing the incredible sojourn and an experience of a lifetime. 

     • If you have time and interest, you can extend your stay and take optional treks to Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, Darjeeling or Sikkim or pursue other activities in Nepal like white water or wildlife safari.
