Itinerary

Day 1- Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuvan international airport in Kathmandu, and make your way to the hotel.
In the evening, have dinner in the hotel. Then, join an information session to collect the next day's program by our tour leader.
Overnight at Hotel (Room on twin sharing basis).

Day 2- Sightseeing in Kathmandu
- After morning breakfast, proceed from the hotel between 6 am to 10 am. Enjoy the sightseeing program.
- Visit Pashupatinath temple, the biggest Hindu temple in Nepal and Budhanilkantha temple, having the statue of the reclining Vishnu. Lunch at 1 pm in the hotel. Then, arrange your tour preparation.
- At 5.30 PM, attend a call for a briefing on the Kailash Mansarovar journey. Receive assistance for money exchange & down jacket distribution.
Overnight at Hotel (Room on twin sharing basis).

Day 3- Drive to Nyalam
Wake up early by 4.30 am and prepare to leave by 5.30 am to the Kodari border. On the way, stop for packing breakfast and taking tea service on a highway restaurant. Continue the journey further ahead.
After 3 hours journey, reach Kodari, where you have lunch in a decent restaurant near the border town. In the meanwhile, the representatives get to finish immigration issues on the Nepal side of the border.
Proceed to China, walking (10 min) through the Friendship Bridge. Proceed to Nyalam via Zhangmu town and attend to further permit formalities.
Overnight at Guesthouse (Pilgrims Inn or Shishapangma Guesthouse or similar).

Day 4- Stay in Nyalam
Taking rest in Nyalam for acclimatization with Tibet climate. Wake up at your convenience and have breakfast by 8 am.
Around 10 am, assemble for a short hiking to do warm-up for adjusting to the Tibetan environment. Look for a short steep uphill above Nyalam village where one can walk gradually and comfortably without hastening. Alternatively, stroll around the hotel vicinity & go for a visit to the town of Nyalam.
Chant or sing bhajans for the rest of the day to gather positive energy within your body. Have lunch & dinner as per the time scheduled by the team leader.

Day 5- Drive to Dongba
Begin your day full of excitement. Thereafter, have breakfast by 7 am and leave the camp to your next destination by 9 am at the latest.
Head to Dongba, en route see Milarepa cave,10 km from Nyalam. Then, pass through Lalung-La Pass, Mt. Shishapangma range, one of the highest peak in Tibet, Ganesh Parbat & Lake Paiku.
Cross the bridge built over River Bramhaputra (also called the Yarlung Tsangpo in Chinese) in Saga. Have lunch and then continue driving further to Dongba with a nice landscape view of snow-capped mountains, villages, yak herders and a small river.

Day 6- Trek to Lake Mansarovar
Set out by 6 am to reach Lake Manasarovar on time to take a bath in the afternoon. On the way, drive through the highest motorable pass of Mayum-La. Have lunch near Horchu River before the Mayum-La pass.
View another beautiful freshwater lake called Rakshas Tal, the demon lake created by Lanka king Rawan with a crescent moon shape. Dinner at a guesthouse near the shore of Lake Manasarovar.
Wait for some time for a bus to have a darshan of Mt. Kailash & Manasarovar on the road journey. Make Parikrama of Lake Manasarovar.
Overnight in Chiu Gompa camp.

Day 7- Drive to Darchen
Spend time by Lake Manasarovar, the lake created by Brahma in his mind. Breakfast in the morning.
Hike in Chiu Gompa on the top of a hill close to the camp. Feast on the traditional lunch of the region.
After lunch, drive to Darchen, the base camp of Mt. Kailash.
View the bewitching, snow-capped mountain range of Gurla Mandata and Rakshas Tal once again.
In the late afternoon, stroll around the small market of Darchen.

Day 8- Trip to Deraphuk
After breakfast, drive to Sherson near Yama Dwar. From Yama Dwar, start trekking to DiraPhuk (north face of Kailash). You can catch the darshan of Mt. Kailash from the south of Yamadwar.
On the midway, halt for a while at a tea shop for pack lunch. Then continue uphill trek to Diraphuk camp with a stunning glimpse of the north face of Mt. Kailash.

Day 9- Trek to Zutuphuk
Get ready for a tough day of parikrama. Wake up at 4 am and start the trek by 5 am. Carry your own lunch.
Descend to the flat valley region, the other side of Dolma-la pass. Visit Shivasthal at Dolma la ornamented with prayer flags.
Descend from the high pass, and view temples at the right side underneath the hill. Continue sloping down, and cross the small glacier. Find a tea shop for a lunch break at the plain valley.
Continue easy walk on the flat trail but tedious—journey along with the River Bank, up to Zutulphuk.

Day 10- Drive back to Dongba
Take an easy trail to complete the journey within 2 to 3 hours. Pick up near the ending point near Darchen by our vehicle, then travel to Darchen. Have lunch and continue to Saga along with all group members.
Take a view of Lake Manasarovar on the way while seeing off the Kailash region. Then, drop off at Manasarovar bus stand of Ngari region and shift to another private bus from Lhasa.
Journey back through the earlier route.

Day 11- Return to Nyalam
- Return to Nyalam via the same route.

Day 12- Return to Kathmandu
After breakfast, drive down to Zhangmu, cross over the Friendship Bridge to reach Kathmandu. Have Lunch on the Kodari border.

Day 13- Departure
Have breakfast at the hotel. Then, according to your flight schedule, catch a car to the international airport in Kathmandu for your flight back home.
