Everest Base Camp Trekking Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you'll meet your trekking guide and spend the day resting and exploring the city.
- Day 2: Flight to Lukla, trek to Phakding. You'll take an early morning flight to Lukla and begin your trek to Phakding, a small village on the banks of the Dudh Koshi River.
- Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar Today's trek takes you through beautiful forests and several suspension bridges. You'll arrive in Namche Bazaar, a lively town and famous trading center for the Khumbu region.
- Day 4: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar Today, you'll rest and acclimatize to the higher altitude. You can explore the town, visit the local market, and hike up to the Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.
- Day 5: Trek to Tengboche. You'll hike through scenic forests and past several small villages on your way to Tengboche, famous for its monastery and stunning views of Ama Dablam.
- Day 6: Trek to Dingboche Today's trek takes you through beautiful alpine meadows and past traditional Sherpa villages. You'll arrive in Dingboche, a small village surrounded by beautiful mountain vistas.
- Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche Today, you'll rest and acclimatize to the higher altitude. You can explore the village or take a short hike to nearby viewpoints.
- Day 8: Trek to Lobuche You'll trek through the Khumbu Valley and past several glaciers on your way to Lobuche, a small village near Khumbu Glacier's base.
- Day 9: Trek to Gorak Shep and visit Everest Base Camp. You'll trek to Gorak Shep and then hike to Everest Base Camp, the starting point for many expeditions to the summit of Mt. Everest. You'll return to Gorak Shep for the night.
- Day 10: Hike to Kala Patthar, trek to Pheriche. Today you'll wake up early to hike to Kala Patthar, a popular viewpoint for stunning views of Mt. Everest and the surrounding peaks. You'll then trek back to Pheriche for the night.
- Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazaar. You'll retrace your steps and trek back to Namche Bazaar, where you'll spend the night.
- Day 12: Trek to Lukla Today, you'll hike back to Lukla, where you'll spend your final night in the Khumbu region.
- Day 13: Flight to Kathmandu You'll take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu and spend the day exploring the city or resting before your departure.
