Description
Explore the Manaslu Circuit Trek takes hikers around the mountain via various habitats. Begin in Arughat, the trip passes dense rhododendrons, bamboo woods, and breathtaking views of glaciers as it ascends to its highest point at the Larkya La Pass, 5,213 m (17,093 ft). The hike also offers breathtaking views of Mount Manaslu. Renowned for its challenging and lonely routes, the Larkya La Pass is the highest point of the walk. Visitors can also learn about the Gurung, Tibetan, and Tamang communities and the local culture and way of life during the hike.
Itinerary

Day 1- Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m)
- After arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you will meet your guide.
- You will be transported to your hotel where you can check in and unwind for the remainder of the day.
- Enjoy a traditional Nepali dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2- Kathmandu Sightseeing and trek preparation
- After breakfast in the hotel, you will have a short sightseeing tour around the Kathmandu Valley. Then, after trekking preparation, equipment checking, and permit preparation, you will be introduced to a guide and porters and take a short walk into the town in the evening.
- You will be provided with short instructions about the next trek.
- Pick up by the team and head to our office for your trek briefing and preparation.
- Afternoon sightseeing in Kathmandu
- Kathmandu Durbar Square
- Swayambunath Monkey Temple
Drop off at your hotel and overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3- Drive Kathmandu to Machhakhola (850 m) 7/8 hrs drive
- Early morning breakfast at the hotel.
- Check-out from the hotel.
- Staff will pick you up and drive you to the bus park in a private vehicle.
- We travel by beautiful bus or jeep to Machha-Khola, where the Manaslu Area and the Trek begin.
Dinner and an overnight stay at the Machha-Khola Hotel.
Travellers Note: Machha-khola is a tiny town well known for selling locals from the northern portion of the Gorkha District. Most of the population is Buddhist and Hindu, and the town is located on the bank of the Bhudhi Gandaki River, which originates in the Tsum Valley and Larke Pass. The majority of the route is along the Budhi Gandaki River’s bank. You may anticipate seeing waterfalls, monkeys, rice fields, lush forests, and, if the weather permits, getting your first glimpses of the Ganesh Himal. If you look out on the road, there’s a good possibility you will also see waterfalls as you pass by several local landmarks.

Day 4 - Trek from Macchakhola to Jagat (1290m) 6/7 hours
- After breakfast, you will depart from Machhakhola and begin your trek towards Jagat.
- The trail will take you through a beautiful forest, where you will see various wildlife, including monkeys, birds, and deer.
- You will also pass by several waterfalls and a mani wall, a wall of stones inscribed with Buddhist prayers.
- In the afternoon, you will arrive in Jagat, a small village near the Ganesh Himal.
- Jagat is a popular stop for trekkers, and there are several teahouses and lodges where you can stay.
Dinner and an overnight stay.
Traveller’s note: Amazing Ganesh and Shingri Himal views await you today. From Jagat, the previous restricted trekking area will start along with our adventure.

Day 5- Jagat trek to Deng 6-7 hours (1897m)
- The trek from Philim to Deng is relatively easy. The trail starts out gently uphill and then descends to a flat plateau.
- You will then reach a river crossing, where you will cross the suspension bridge over the Bhudi Gandaki River and enter Philim village.
- From Philim, the trail continues uphill until you reach Ekle Bhatti, a small village located at the top of a ridge.
- From Ekle Bhatti, you will cross another suspension bridge and descend into Deng.
- Deng is a small village in the middle of a valley. Several teahouses and lodges are nearby, where you can stay for the night.
Dinner and an overnight stay.
Distance: 6 kilometers
Elevation gain: 600 meters
Time: 4-5 hoursTraveller’s Note: Today, your destination is Deng. You can try local food with a good test. Proceeding further, you cross the Siyar Khola bridge and reach a junction where the trail separates Tsum Valley on your right. Like this, you walk and reach Deng.

Day 6- Deng trek to Namrung (2,630m)
- After breakfast, depart and head down to the riverside.
- Cross the bridge and climb upwards to Ranagoan.
- Trek further to Bihi Phedi.
- The trail splits into two; take the right-hand trail to Ghap.
- After passing through Ghap village, climb up to Namrung.
Dinner and stay overnight at Namrung village.
Traveller’s note: Today, you have clear views of the Ganesh, Shingri, and Kutang Himal.

Day 7- Namrung Trek to Lho 4hrs walking
- After breakfast at your lodge in Namrung, depart and head towards Lho.
- The trail goes through a forest of oak, fir, and rhododendron trees, leading to a permit check post where you must show your trekking permit.
- Continue on the trail, which will take you through the village of Lihi Gaon and downwards to the village of Sho Goan.
- Not long after, you will reach the village of Lho, located at 3280 meters, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Traveller’s note: The eighth-highest mountain in the world, Mt. Manaslu, is in sight today! Today is the first day to see Manaslu, and the inspiring view of Larke will start today. Also, you will see most locals clad in traditional Tibetan dress while walking to Lho. From this day, you will move towards the high, quiet altitude. So, it is recommended that you walk slowly and check your body signs by being careful.

Day 8- Lho trek to Samagaun (Ryo) 4hrs walking
- After breakfast, we departed on a short trek to Sama (Ryo).
- You Stop in Shyala to take in the fantastic 360-degree Himalayan view.
- Continue on your journey until you reach Sama (Ryo).
Dinner and stay overnight in the village.
Traveller’s Note: Sama is locally more known as Samagaon, gaon meaning village. Today, incredible views await of the Manaslu, Himal Chuli, Nadi Peak, Naike Peak, Kutang Himal and the Pangbuche Himal. Shyala is the first town you visit today, and it has one of the best views in this region. You can see 360-degree mountains from town.

Day 9- Sama (Ryo) Acclimatization day
- Today is your acclimatization day.
- After a hearty breakfast at your lodge, you will hike to get used to the high altitude.
- You can choose between two options: hiking around Birendra Lake and Manaslu Base Camp or hiking up to the Pungen Gumpa.
- Dinner and overnight stay is in Sama (Ryo).
Traveller’s Note: Samagaun is a village development committee in Gorkha District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 665 and 179 houses. Today is an acclimatization day; you can hike around Birendra Lake/Manaslu Base Camp, Pungen Gumpa, etc. Discuss with your guide which one will be the best according to your fitness and desires.

Day 10- Samagaun Trek to Samdo: 3/4 hrs walking
- After breakfast, you will depart for a relatively short trek up to Samdo.
- Due to the high elevation, it is essential to take it slowly while climbing upwards.
- By lunchtime, you will reach Samdo village.
- In the afternoon, you can rest or take a hike up to Samdo Peak.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at Samdo.
Traveller’s note: The views of Mt Manaslu from Samdo Peak are incredible. If you have the stamina, it is worth hiking up there. Samdo is a well-known Tibetan refugee camp. After spending a whole day and two nights on Samagau, we start our treks towards the Samdo or close to hiking options . Sambo has excellent views of Manaslu along with other Himalayan ranges, including Simrang, Hiunchuli, Ngadi, Larkye Peak, Cheo, and possibly Kang Guru behind the pass. Here you can many kinds of beautiful mountain birds like the Lophophorus (the national bird of Nepal).You can see yaks, horses, mountain mice, blue sheep, etc.

Day 11-Samdo to Dharamsala, 4/5 hrs walking
- After breakfast, you will depart for the foot of the Larya La, Dharmasala.
- The trail will lead you slowly upwards until you reach your overnight stop.
- You will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Dharmasala in the evening.
- Tomorrow, you face your first pass of the Larkya La at 5,160 meters. You better take a good night's rest and prepare your camera batteries.
- After breakfast, you move through the Samdo to Dharamsala. You will pass a seasonal Tibetan market called Larke Bazaar beside the Budi Gandaki River. You will see many traditional monasteries.
- While walking towards Dharamsala, you will do a shorter hike, which leaves time for acclimatization and relaxing in the afternoon.

Day 12- Dharamsala to Bimthang (3590m) via Larkya La Pass (5106m) 7/8 hrs walking
- You wake up early for breakfast and depart for the Larkya La pass.
- The trail goes slowly up until you reach the pass.
- At the pass, you take a break to enjoy the amazing views of the Himalayas.
- After finishing your crossing, the trail leads downhill to Bhimtang.
Dinner and overnight stay in Bhimtang village.
From the Larkya La Pass, we get some amazing views of the Cheo Himal, Gyaji Kung, Kang Guru and the Annapurna II—all above 6,000 meters! Today is one of the crucial and most awaited days of the trip for great views and adventure. (7-8 hrs) Once you get to Bhimthang, it might be the best accommodation for the trek and the right place to celebrate the great success of Larke La.

Day 13- Bimthang to Tilche 5/6 hrs walking
- You will have breakfast in the village and then depart.
- Hike downhill for most of the day.
- After a good 4 hours, you will reach the village of Ghoa.
- From there, you will continue downwards to Tilche.
- You will have dinner and stay overnight in Tilche village.
- Waking up early today allows for an amazing sunrise view from the teahouse.
- After passing the top peek of the world, we are in the Bimthang by having, and we are starting our next journey towards the Tilche.
- Tilche is a beautiful village with beautiful people of their local culture.
- In Tilije, you can find good hotels and free Wi-Fi after crossing the mountain.

Day 14- Tilche trek to Dharapani and drive to Besisahar by jeep. 6/7 hours.
- After breakfast, depart from your hotel in Dharapani.
- Follow the trail down to the small village of Dharapani, located at the confluence of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli rivers.
- The path leads through pine forests and several small villages.
- Have lunch in Dharapani.
- After lunch, arrange a jeep to take you to Besisahar.
- The drive takes approximately 2 hours.
- Arrive in Besisahar and check into your hotel.
Traveller’s note: This is your last day of the massive Manaslu circuit trek. After arriving in Besisahar after 4 hours of driving, we get into the town, have good food and drinks, and then plan for the next days.

Day 15- Drive to Kathmandu or Pokhara by Tourist Bus 5/6 hour drive
- After breakfast, you will be driven to your destination.
- Your guide and porters will return to Kathmandu.
- If you have time, spend a few nights in Pokhara, a beautiful tourist town in Nepal. You can be transferred to Pokhara
- A taxi or shuttle will be arranged if you choose to be dropped off at the airport.
