Day 1: Depart from Kathmandu to Chitwan
- 07:00 AM: Depart from Kathmandu by tourist bus. Enjoy scenic countryside views as you head towards Chitwan, passing through picturesque landscapes, rivers, and small towns.
- 12:30 PM: Arrive in Chitwan and transfer to your 3-star hotel.
- 01:00 PM: Welcome, drink, and check-in.

- 03:30 PM: Village tour and visit to Tharu community to learn about their lifestyle.

Best Season: The best time to visit Chitwan is during the dry season, from October to March when temperatures are moderate and wildlife sightings are more frequent.

Monsoon Season: From June to September, the park experiences heavy rains, making it difficult for safaris due to muddy roads and wildlife activity may be reduced.

National Park Permit: All visitors need an entry permit for Chitwan National Park. This can usually be arranged through your hotel, guide, or tour operator.

Stay with your guide: Always follow instructions during jungle walks or safaris. Never wander off on your own.

Wildlife encounters: You may encounter dangerous animals like rhinos, tigers, or crocodiles. Stay calm and listen to your guide.

No sudden movements or noise: To avoid disturbing the animals, keep quiet and avoid sudden movements during wildlife viewing.

Leech season: From June to September (monsoon), leeches are common during jungle walks. Wear leech-proof socks or light-coloured clothing to spot them easily.

Insect repellent: Bring mosquito repellent, as mosquitoes are common in the park, especially in the evenings.

Access: Chitwan is accessible from Kathmandu and Pokhara by road (6-7 hours) or by a short flight to Bharatpur, followed by a drive to the park.

No littering: Keep the park clean and avoid leaving any waste behind.

Quiet and patience: Wildlife sightings often require patience. Keep noise levels down to avoid scaring off animals.

What To Bring

Lightweight, breathable clothing: The climate in Chitwan is hot and humid, especially in the summer. Wear loose-fitting clothes made of cotton or moisture-wicking material.

Long-sleeved shirts and pants: For protection from sun and insects, especially during jungle walks.

Comfortable hiking shoes: Sturdy shoes or boots are ideal for jungle walks and safaris.

Hat or cap: To protect yourself from the sun.

Rain jacket or poncho: Chitwan can be rainy, particularly during the monsoon season (June to September).
