Start one of the most spectacular overland journeys on the 920 km stretch of road, known as the Friendship Highway, between Kathmandu to Lhasa and fly back from there. The trip allows a number of detours to the highlights of the Tsang Province and the Lhasa City. Get a spectacular insight into the life and culture of the friendly Tibetan people, from chanting monks in ancient monasteries to the tranquil shores of the turquoise lake Yamdrok Tso. Visit Kumbum, the most stunning architectural wonder of Tibet in the city of wonders, Lhasa. Conclude with the breathtaking Trans-Himalayan flight from Lhasa back to Kathmandu. This tour is designed for those who enjoy exploring the cultures of people following the pilgrim circuit around huge monasteries and glowing shrines.

Day 1: Kathmandu to Lhasa (3,650m) Flight
- Take a flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa. Arrive at Gonngar Airport, drive to Lhasa (1hr.) and take full rest for acclimatization.

Day 2: Enjoy Sightseeing In Lhasa
- Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery.

Day 3: Full-Day Sightseeing Tour In Lhasa
- Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery.

Day 4: Lhasa – Gyantse (3950m) –Shigatse
- Drive to Gyantse via Yamadroke Lake and high passes: Kora LA (5,010m) & Kamba La (4,794m).
- After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing in Gyantse including Pholkor & Kumbum Monastery.
- In the evening, enjoy a scenic drive to Xigatse (1.5hrs) through the typical Tibetan countryside.

Day 5: Shigatse – Xegar (4200m)
- Visit Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery and then drive to Xegar crossing over Gyatchula (a pass of 5,200m).

Day 6: Xegar to Rongbuk (4980m) 90km
- Enjoy a scenic drive to Rongbuk through the beautiful Tibetan countryside.
- Explore Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world.

Day 7: Rongbuk – Everest Base camp – Kerong
- Hike up to Everest BC and explore around the area.
- Finally, return to Rongbuk.
Drive to Kerong. O/N at 3* Hotel.

Day 8: Kerong to Kathmandu
- Drive to Rasuwagadi Border. After necessary border formalities, drive to Kathmandu.
