Itinerary

1. Day 1: Maputo - Mukapane - Maputo

   • Pick up and depart from the hotel at 7 am. Pass the railway station and take an opportunity to take photographs.

   • Proceed to Independence Square and visit the City Council, Cathedral, Iron House, Feima Market, Natural History Museum, and the Fort.

   • Drive to Mukapane. On the outskirts of Maputo along the avenue of Mozambique, see Malangatana's outdoor works. Stop at the Wholesale Market and National Stadium for a chance to take pictures. 

   • Arrive in Mukapane and explore nature on a safari in a 4x4 vehicle.

   • Drive to Macaneta beach for lunch with a chance of swimming or relaxing.

   • Return to Maputo from Macaneta. 

   Overnight at the hotel. 

2. Day 2: Maputo Special Reserve and Departure

   • Pick up from the hotel at 6 am to drive to Maputo Special Reserve (68 km/50 mins) by crossing the Maputo-Katembe bridge. Pass through the following local rural villages – Katembe, Joanine, Calane, and Bela Vista. Make a small stop at Salamanga village.

   • Enter the Maputo Reserve through the Futi entrance. Within the reserve, get dazzled by brilliant encounters with the wildlife, excellent marine life, rare species in extinction, wonderful sandy forests and floodplains. Admire the natural landscapes all around you. 

   • Drive back to Maputo before it's dark.
