Kampong Tour
Depart to the Carey Island at 8am which is 90 kms from Kuala Lumpur. It takes about 2 hours.
On arrival at 10:30 am, the local guide will take you on a walking tour around the Kampong village. Learn all about the village and the Rumah Moyang. Every year in March they have a festival for ancestral worship called Rumah Moyang. The Mah Meri Tribe who were Sea Gypsies excelled in wood carvings depicting rich mythological meanings. Wood carving techniques are passed on for generations. The Mah Meris are a remnant colony.
Move on to a typical Malay home to be greeted by "Hospitality Unbelievable" owners at noon. Garden Tour of traditional herbal plants for blood pressure, cancer, diabetes and other health concerns. Lunch with Malay Cuisine at 1pm (Home Cooked and hygienic).
Leave at 2pm and drive past scenic villages with houses on stilts. Go to a "TODDY" shop to taste Coconut wine harvested from the Coconut tree. "Toddy" is a health drink that cleanses the urethral and liver systems and a coolant too. Fresh Toddy will be served. Light snacks would be deer meat, wild boar, chicken etc. Leave at 3 pm and slowly drive back to Kuala Lumpur.
