Itinerary

Day 1- Chiapas - Sumidero Canyon - Chiapa de Corzo
Get picked up from the Tuxtla Gutiérrez International Airport and head to Sumidero Canyon.
Enjoy a boat trip in the Grijalva River.
Go on a city tour in Chiapa de Corzo city.
Then arrive at San Cristobal de las Casas City.

Day 2- Lagos de Montebello - Chiflon
Walk around the Chiflon waterfalls, climbing the mountain.
Lunch will be on the road to Montebello lakes.
Visit five beautiful lakes in the middle of a coniferous forest.
Return to San Cristobal de las Casas.

Day 3- Maya Tzoltzil - San Lorenzo Zinacantan
We will visit the magic community of San Juan Chamula with the most spiritual expression of the Mayan connection with God, the political, social and religious organization of the Maya people in the old days.
Then we go to San Lorenzo, a place of beautiful warrior women who fight for their rights with smiles and colourful handmade textiles.
Go on a city tour of San Cristóbal de las Casas.

Day 4- Tonina - Agua Azul - Palenque
Meet your tour guide at the hotel lobby at 6:00 a.m.
From the Conifer woods, we are going down to the Lacandon jungle. Our first stop will be in the archaeologic site of Tonina, the highest Mayan monument in Mexico.
The second stop is Agua Azul waterfalls, turquoise waters in the middle of the jungle, inside the Maya-Tzeltal territory.
Arrive at Palenque city.

Day 5- Palenque Site - Selva Lacandonia
Visit the archaeological site of Palenque to meet King Kinich Janab Pakal, one of the most famous and important Mayan kings.
Then, directly go to the jungle with the smaller ethnic group- Mayan Lacandonia.
Stay overnight in an eco-hotel to enjoy the forest, the wildlife and the exotic sounds.

Day 6- Yaxchilan - Bonampak
Today we start at 6:30 a.m. to see the Usumacinta river (one of the most important rivers in Mexico), the preamble of a trip to the past- circa 700 BC, with hosts like howler monkeys, toucans, parrots, etc.
We will see Bonampak, which means "painted walls". They are the most preserved paintings in Mesoamerica and talk about king Chan Muan II and all his power, their concept of war and religious rituals.
Return to Palenque city and end of the services, or transfer to the airport.
