Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival at Airport

   • Welcome to Chiapas! We will pick you up at the airport to transfer you to the Grand Maria Hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas.

   Overnight stay in the hotel.

2. Day 2: San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan

   • Pick up from hotel reception in the morning and begin our transfer to the indigenous community of San Juan Chamula where we will get to know the Church and its religious traditions. 
   • We will visit the pantheon and then we will move to Zinacantan to visit its church, and visit a family from the community to learn how they make their typical clothes on a backstrap loom, and savour a bite in their traditional cuisine. 
   • Continuing with the tour, we go to the centre of the city of San Cristobal de las Casas where there will be time for lunch and walking in the squares and walkways of this beautiful city.

   Overnight stay in San Cristobal, at the Grand Maria Hotel.

3. Day 3: Sumidero Canyon and Magic Town of Chiapa de Corzo

   • Pick up from the hotel reception and move to the magical town of Chiapa de Corzo, then take a boat to the impressive Sumidero Canyon. The boat tour will last approximately 2 hours. 
   • You will be able to observe a great diversity of flora and fauna of the region, great waterfalls, caves and the majestic canyon, then you will return to Chiapa de Corzo where you will have time to see the Mudejar style fountain, the Church of Santo Domingo, and buy crafts made in the region. 
   • At the end of the tour, they will be given time to eat. We will leave at 2:30 pm from Chiapa de Corzo to arrive at approximately 4:00 pm at San Cristobal de las Casas.  

4. Day 4: Hotel to Airport Transfer

   • Transfer from the hotel in San Cristobal to the airport. 
   • We will pick you up at your Hotel, to drop you at the Angel Albino Corzo Airport in Tuxtla Gutierrez.
