Description
Learn about the history and culture of Mongolia by travelling across its museums and monasteries, including Erdene-Zuu- the oldest monastery. Day 1- Ulaan Baatar (L+D)
- Meet your English-speaking Mongolian tour guide at the airport and head to your hotel.
- After having your lunch, take a city sightseeing tour including a visit to Gandan Monastery, famous for its huge gold plated Buddha. It acts as a symbol of Mongolian national pride and a cultural revival. See the monks chanting, spin some prayer wheels and view the intricately embroidered 'Thanks'.
- Drive to the National Museum of Mongolian History, where you will see Mongolia and Central Asia artefacts from the Stone Age.

Day 2- Homeland of Genghis Khaan (B+L+D)
- After breakfast, drive northeast from Ulaan Baatar to reach Khan Khentii Mountain National Park.
- On the way, see the giant Genghis Khaan statue. The statue is 40m high and depicts Genghis Khaan holding a golden whip by his right hand.
- Pass through attractive landscapes of mountains, forests, grassland and rivers.
- Go for small hikes and capture the charming landscapes.

Day 3- Khan Khentii Mountain National Park (B+L+D)
After breakfast, tour to the birthplace of Jamukha, who was not only the best friend of Genghis Khaan but also a major clan leader.
Have lunch at a tourist camp.
Drive to the ruins of Bereeven Monastery, which was built in the 17th century.

Day 4- Terelj National Park and Khukh Nuur Lake (B+L+D)
- After breakfast, drive to Terelj National Park.
- Visit Khukh Nuur Lake, where Genghis Khaan was entitled as the Khan of Mongols in 1189, one of the most significant moments in the history of Mongolia. Examine the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones here; some of which look similar to turtles and horse riding.

Day 5- Hustai National Park (B+L+D)
- Drive to Hustai National Park in the early morning and see Takhi, the Asian wild horse. During this journey, you might spot a wolf, argali sheep and deer as well.
- Go on a small hike to capture images of the awe-inspiring landscapes.
- Visit Takhi's Small Museum.

Day 6- Ugii Lake (B+L+D)
- After breakfast, drive to Ugii Lake (altitude 1387 m; surface area-25 sq. km) and take a boat tour to indulge in birdwatching.

Day 7- Elsen tasarkhai and camel ride (B+L+D)
- Drive to Elsen Tasarkhai - a unique area comprising forest and sand dunes.
- Hop on the hump and experience a camel ride through the desert.
- Visit a local nomad family and experience their way of life, culture and traditions.
- Have an authentic Mongolian barbecue, prepared in the traditional style using hot stones for dinner.

Day 8- Erdenezuu and Kharkhorin (B+L+D)
- After breakfast at the tourist camp, drive to Kharkhorin, the symbolic ruins of the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. Midway, you will see Khusuu Tsaidam, a Turkic inscribed monument of the Turkic State (6th - 8th Centuries A.D).
- Visit Erdene-Zuu, the oldest monastery, with 108 stupas, built-in 1586.
- See the remains of the Great Mongol State period at the Kharkhorin Museum and Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Ancient State period halls.
Stay overnight in a tourist camp by the Orkhon River.

Day 9- Ulaan Baatar (B+L+D)
- Drive back to Ulaan Baatar to visit Bogd Khan Palace, a series of beautiful traditional buildings where the last religious King of Mongolia resided.
- Choose an optional city tour where you will be taken to souvenir and cashmere shops before enjoying an evening concert of National Folklore.
Stay overnight at the hotel.

- Have a sumptuous breakfast and prepare for departure as you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport.
