The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Mandalay

  • Arrival at Mandalay airport.

  • Transfer to the city for an overnight stay.

Day 02

Mingun Boat Trip and Mandalay Sightseeing

  • Meet and greet your English-speaking guide at 08:30 am in the hotel lobby.

  • Go to Mingun by boat, a small village situated on the western bank of the Ayeyarwady River.

  • Visit Pathodawgyi Pagoda, renowned for the world's biggest bell and the Monument of Love.

  • Return to Mandalay by boat and marvel at the scenic views.

  • Visit Mahamuni Temple, one of the three important holy places in Myanmar for Myanmar Buddhists.

  • Proceed to visit local families where real gold leaves are produced and used by Myanmar Buddhists to adorn religious monuments.

  • Visit Shwenandaw Monastery to see the intricate 19th-century wood carvings and the world's biggest book.

  • Go to the top of Mandalay Hill to admire the panoramic view over the city and Shan Mountain.

Day 03

Amarapura, Innwa, and Sagaing Excursion

  • Drive to Amarapura and visit Mahagandayone Monastery, a school for 1,200 Buddhist monks.

  • Visit a traditional hand-woven silk workshop and the village where handmade clay items are crafted by the villagers.

  • Drive to Innwa, taking a ferry boat across the small river.

  • Ride on a horse cart and visit Innwa, an artificial island, including its highlights and the ruins of Innwa.

  • Proceed to Sagaing and go to the top of Sagaing Hill for a beautiful panorama over the Ayeyarwady River and the holy hill.

  • Continue to Amarapura and see U Bein Bridge, the famous longest wooden bridge in the world.

Spend the night at Mandalay.

Day 04

Journey to Bagan

  • Take a local public bus and drive to Bagan for about 4 hours.

  • Arrive in Bagan at 1 pm and reach the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 05

Bagan Temple Tour

  • Visit the ancient Ngakwengadaung Pagoda, which has a bubo shape.

  • See Pathothamya Temple to discover its amazing lighting system and beautiful paintings.

  • Go to the authentic Nyaung U Market, where the extinct white elephant stopped.

  • Visit Ananda Temple, known as the most beautiful temple in Bagan.

  • Stop by Sulamani Temple, where you can see two layers of paintings from two different epoca.

  • Enjoy the sunset from Nan Myint Tower, the only place for a panoramic view.

Spend the night at Bagan.

Day 06

Flight to Heho and Inle Lake Discovery

  • Fly to Heho and take a one-hour scenic drive to Nyaung Shwe upon arrival.

  • Visit Shwe Yan Pyay, a wooden monastery and temple famous for its mosaic work.

  • Go boating on the lake upon arriving in Nyaung Shwe.

  • Visit the floating villages and floating gardens, and enjoy a canoe trip in the village of the Intha tribe.

  • See Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, a famous shrine on the lake.

Stay overnight at Nyaung Shwe.

Day 07

Inle Lake and Indein Exploration

  • Visit the five-day market, depending on the availability of time.

  • Explore the ruins of Indein and stop to admire a lotus stem fabric-making family.

  • Visit the famous Ngaphechaung Shan Monastery and return to Nyaung Shwe.

  • Transfer to the bus station at night for Yangon.

Day 08

Yangon City Tour and Dala Village Visit

  • Arrive in Yangon early in the morning.

  • Meet the driver at the highway bus station and transfer to the hotel.

  • Have refreshments at the hotel and meet the local tour guide.

  • Visit Yangon, the most important commercial city in Myanmar.

  • Visit Theingyi Market, where one can see Myanmar daily food, rare snacks, and sweets.

  • Make a short visit to a nun's monastery and stop at the mesmerizing Sule Pagoda.

  • Visit Bogyoke Market, the popular shopping center in Yangon.

  • Go to Nanthida Port by taking a ferry boat, which will take around 15 minutes.

  • Enjoy a trishaw ride in Dala to visit the village and find a candle-maker family, a rice paper-maker family, and a fishermen's village.

  • Stop at Kandawgyi Park and finally visit Shwedagon Pagoda, the most venerable pagoda in Myanmar.

Stay for the night.

Departure from Yangon

  • Transfer to Yangon International Airport for departure.
