Mandalay - Wanet Elephant Camp
Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location and drive to southeast of Mandalay city.
Stop at the local flower market near Latkaung village and see the lively morning view of flowers sellers and buyers. It is the biggest flower market where various and colorful flowers growers come to sell. See the seasonal flowers like Aster, Eugenia, Cobra-saffron, Jasmine, Gladiolus and Chrysanthemum.
Continue driving and see the different cultivation landscape along the road.
Visit the slake lime production on the way. We will contribute 1 USD on behalf of one tourist to the children of slake lime workers for their education.
Drive about 45 minutes to get to the elephant camp known as the Wanet Elephant Camp, which is located at the foot of Shan mountain ranges.
Participate in bathing elephants. Learn about the daily activities of mahouts, nature of Myanmar timber elephants and see the skeleton of the dead elephant in the bamboo house.
Ride the elephant into the natural wood and see the beautiful mountains, green floras and natural stream.
Plant one tree like teak (Tectonagrandis) or ironwood (Xylia dolabriformis) for environmental preservation and reforestation.
Drive back to Mandalay and arrive in the afternoon.
