Explore the ancient city of Bagan, an ancient city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar. Visit the temples built several centuries ago. About 2,000 monuments collapsed in an earthquake in 1975 but there is still a lot left to explore in this magnificent city.

Site to visit in Bagan
- Visit one of Asia’s most stunning archaeological destination with its more than 2,000 pagodas doting the plains along the legendary Ayeyarwaddy River.
- Shop at the Bustling Nyaung Oo local market.
- Visit some of Bagan distinctive pagodas including Shwezigone, a prototype of later Myanmar style. Wetkyi-in -Gubyutgyi, 13th-century cave temple with fine wall paintings.
- Explore one of the most outstanding architecture- The Ananda Temple, one of the most revered pagodas in all Myanmar and containing four tall standing Buddhas within.
- Go sightseeing at Dammayangyi Temple in the afternoon. It is a massive later period temple with the finest brickwork in Bagan and Thatbyinnyu Temple which towers above other monuments of Bagan.
- Behold the museum of the painting called Sulamini Temple. Study mural paintings dating back from 13th to 16th.
- At the end of the tour, watch the sunset from Shwe San Daw Paya.

Bagan used to be the Capital City of First Myanmar in the 11th Century. There were 55 kings who ruled in Bagan from the 11th century to the 13th Century and is home to a number of ancient monuments. But in 1975 a big earthquake hit Bagan, and nearly 2000 monuments collapsed. Nowadays one can study mural painting and architecture which dates back from 11C to 13C.
