Fantastic Tour Guide in Mandalay, Myanmar

I recently visited Mandalay, Myanmar, and had an incredible experience with my tour guide. Wonderful guide in Mandalay

Lwin was wonderfully accommodating guide. Her love and knowledge of her own country alongside her wish share this and accommodate the individual tourist’s interests, in what they wish to see or hear about, is a service that is hard to find nowadays. Because time was limited, Lwin kindly arranged to meet me off the bus in Mandalay and was in communication with the bus driver to make sure I was dropped off at the right place as he did not speak any English. I spent two half days with Lwin and her tuc tuc driver. She showed me the most beautiful palaces, monasteries, local crafts and different aspects of rural life. We were lucky to come across a novitiation ceremony. As a solo traveller I was reassured that if I needed, I knew Lwin was always there to help, for instance, she went out of her way to help arrange shared taxi rides for me when I wished to visit an old friend out of the city and made sure that I got to the airport in time to catch the plane. I highly recommend her and her tuc tuc services to anyone.

Wonderful Visit to Mandalay

My time in Mandalay was limited but Lwin managed to customised a 2-day itinerary for me that included all the key sights, including dropping me off at the airport on the second day which is a tremendous help because Mandalay airport is quite far from town.  She was full of knowledge and stories about the city and surrounding areas, and speaks excellent English.  I was very glad to have her as my guide and would strongly recommend her to anyone visiting Mandalay.  Thanks Lwin!

If you are reading this it's because you are looking for a guide in Mandalay.  I can only say that Lwin is the person you are looking for.  A great professional, who will take care of you,  knows Mandalay very well, helps in everything you might need and also is a very nice and funny girl. And she has had a lot of patience with all my photographic whims!
