Itinerary

1. Day 1: Yangon

   • Your Myanmar tour guide will pick you up from your Hotel.

   • Visit Sule Pagoda and downtown Yangon suitable for a walking tour and continue on a visit to the Strand Hotel, the first Hotel in Myanmar.

   • See Botahtaung pagoda.

   • Proceed to Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Idol.

   • Late in the afternoon, see the most beautiful Pagoda in Myanmar, Kyauktawgyi Pagoda and white elephants.

   • Continue to visit Kabaraye Pagoda and Scott Market, a shopping paradise for tourists.

   • Explore the Chinatown to see Platform Market.

   • Make a photo stop at the Karaweik Hall royal floating barge.

   • See the Shwedagon Pagoda, with its glittering gold Stupa. At the Pagoda, observe local pilgrims and monks offering their prayers and enjoy the fantastic sunset view.

   Overnight stay at the Hotel.

2. Day 2: Yangon - Bagan - Chin State

   • Transfer to Yangon airport to catch a domestic flight to Bagan. 

   • Upon arrival in Bagan, transfer to Chin State by car. 

   • Start the tour in a private jeep or 4WD to Kanpetlet. And then, take the hour-long drive along the Ayeyarwaddy River to Chauk. 

   • Explore the morning market. 

   • Take the following route to Seikphyu village, which lies on the other side of the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. 

   • Proceed to one of the big Burmese villages, Ka Zun Ma Village, in the Magwe Division. 

   • After lunch, drive through the forested mountains, and it will be an excellent time to take photos of nature. Driving in the dry zone takes about 3 hours before you arrive at Saw, a small administrative town, where you stop for a tea break.

   • Then, keep driving up to Kanpetlet, a small administrative town of Chin People. Chin women with tattooed faces and ways of life of the Chin tribes can be observed in this small town.

   • In the evening, check in to the hotel, situated in the pine forest about 3000 ft above sea level, for a night. The cool climate on the hill will be lovely for you while seizing an enjoyable dinner and night stay at Chin Eco Lodge.

3. Day 3: Hiking Tour to Mt. Victoria

   • Under the rising sun, go on a scenic drive to the base camp, 10 miles away from the lodge. The pine forest and sweet bird calls will fill the beauty of Mt.Victoria, the most famous birding area for many endangered species of Myanmar. 

   • Begin the hike from the base camp, 6500 ft above sea level, to the top of 10200 ft. The first 45-minutes of the trek are a bit challenging.

   • Take some photos from the summit and enjoy a hot cup of tea and snacks. 

   • Descend to the base camp within 2 hours. The trek down is much easier than the way up. ( If someone from the group can’t trek up the summit, please let the guide know in advance to arrange a 4WD ride to the top of the mountain )

   • Continue to Mindut from the base camp.

4. Day 4: Discover the Culture of Chin State

   • Go on a one-hour drive before you start the exciting trek to Kyardo Village. 

   • Head down to a stream first, and then another hour of trekking will take you to Kyardo Village. Meet the villagers and observe their traditional attires and ways of living. One thing interesting to mention is animism and their beliefs on Sharman and Nat and fortune-telling by Sharman and Chin traditional dance. 

   • After lunch and a short rest, continue trekking toward Lote Pe Village, an old Chin village located on the top of the hill. Their tattoo faced women, as well as exciting traditions, can be observed. 

   • Do the one and a half down trek to Check Chaung Stream after sightseeing the village. 

   • Drive for an hour to Mindut. 

   • Check in to a small guest house and have dinner.

5. Day 5: Chin State - Transfer Yangon

   • Go for a sightseeing tour around Mindut’s morning market. 

   • On the way back to Bagan, make stops to take photos among the pine-forest hills. Also, go on a short trip to the top of the Ponetaung Ponenyar mountain range to observe small stupas and Nat shrines at the summit.

   • After lunch, visit some more Burmese villages. 

   • Reach Bagan Airport and catch the flight to Yangon.

6. Day 6: Yangon Int’l Airport (Departure)

   • Transfer to the Yangon International Airport for your departure.
