Cultural tour of Mandalay
Meet with the tour guide at the pickup location.
Visit the Mahamuni Buddha Temple, built in 1784 by King Bodawphaya. It burnt down in 1884, but King Thibaw (the last king of Myanmar) renovated the temple with Myanmar and Italian architecture. There are bronze figures from Ankarwot Temple from Cambodia.
Proceed to the stone carving place and learn about the craft there.
Head to the puppet, wood carving, tapestry center.
Continue to the gold-leaf making center.
Have lunch at a restaurant and try traditional Myanmar dishes.
Travel to the Mandalay Palace, built in 1857 by King Mindon, the second last king of the Yadanabon Kingdom.
Explore Golden Palace Monastery covered by gold leaves and wood carvings.
Proceed to Kuthodaw Pagoda, which houses the world's biggest book, and is acknowledged by UNESCO.
Get to the top of Mandalay Hill (975feet above sea level) by car, enjoy the sunset, and take in the fresh air.
Travel back to your hotel after the tour.
