Day 1 : Pyinoolwin - National Kandawgyi Gardens
Drive from Mandalay Airport to Pyinoolwin (Maymyo), a former British station by private car.
On the way to Pyinoolwin, see the flower market. The road winds steeply through flowers, fruits, and vegetables.
Drive through Maymyo on a horse-drawn stagecoach, giving the chance to admire the brick and timber houses complete with English-style gable, turrets, and chimneys.
Visit the National Kandawgyi Gardens, which were laid out by Sir Harcourt Butler, the former governor. The Burma flower beds are similar to those you would find in an English country garden.

Day 2 : Train Journey to Naung Pein village
On the next day, visit the local market with the Myanmar tour guide.
At 08.00 hours, transfer to Maymyo Railway station for an adventurous train journey to Naung Pein village. The train passes over Gokteik Railway Viaduct. When the Pennsylvania Steel company built the viaduct a 300 meters deep gorge a century ago, it was the second-highest bridge in the world. The view from the train is fascinating and the scenery is beautiful.
At Naung Pein, the driver will be waiting.
Return to Maymyo.
