Description
Tsarev Peak is the pride of eastern Macedonia. It is 2085 m high and the second highest peak in the Osogovo Mountains. Carev Vrv is located in the central part of the mountain Osogovo and is the most famous part of this mountain. The peak is surrounded by lush vegetation in different colours, dense and diverse forests and deep valleys through which clear mountain waters flow. From Carev Vrv there are beautiful views around and the surrounding mountains that can be enjoyed for a long time. At the top, there are still old buildings with interesting architecture. Today, mountaineers, cyclists and other nature lovers visit Carev Vrv. When Emperor Constantine (who ruled these territories) saw the beauty of Tsarev Vrv(Tsarev peak), he decided to build a palace there with Empress Elena. This peak (Emperor Peak) was named after the emperor. Today, at the top are the remains of an old building that locals say are left over from the palace of Emperor Constantine and Empress Helena. The beauty of Carev Vrv (Carev peak) can not be described in words. A special experience is the view from this peak.
Itinerary

Tsarev Peak
- We start with a visit to the beautiful Osogovo monastery.
- Then we drive 5 km to the mountain Lake Kalin Kamen; we enjoy its beauty.
- From Kalin Stone Lake, we walk to Tsarev Peak (2084m). At the very top is the watchtower from the time of the SHS Kingdom. Beautiful nature and beautiful views at the top and all around us.
- We return on foot and visit a village household. We taste mountain sheep cheese and wild fruit compote and try homemade traditional drinks.
- We will visit and explore the Kalin Kamen picnic spot.
- Again, by vehicle, we return to Kriva Palanka and go to lunch in a nice ethnic restaurant and share friendship, music and fun.
