Itinerary

1. Day 1- Explore the Surroundings of Lesnovo Village

   • Meet the tour guide, who will pick you up from your accommodation in Skopje and transport to Lesnovo. (Accommodation in the house of a village family.)
   • Visit the Lesnovo Monastery (1341) and climb to Ilinski Vrv (1127m), where we will go to the hermitage cave of St. Gavril Lesnovski at the very top. 
   • Enjoy the beautiful panoramic views from a height towards Lesnovo and the surroundings. We will slowly descend through a thick forest towards Lesnovo. Go for a coffee break. 
   • Head to the open-air millstone and the small ethnological exhibition in the former school in Lesnovo. 
   • Walk a short distance to the Lesnovo Mill Caves and the Cave Church of St. Bogoroditsa. We will look at the attractive gorge part of Lesnovska Reka and the terrain with remnants of strong volcanic activity in the past. 
   • Go back and have lunch together in a nice ethnic restaurant in the village. We spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the wonderful nature, tranquillity and God's peace available to us from our accommodation. 

   Have dinner and stay overnight.

2. Day 2- See the Beautiful Zletovo River

   • Have breakfast, and transfer to Zletovo to see the old pottery workshop. 
   • Head along the attractive Zletovo river, where we will visit the following places: The beautiful monasteries of St. Bogoroditsa Balaklia and St. Spiridon the Wonderworker.
   • See 3 beautiful waterfalls and an authentic old mill.
   • Taste sweets and juice from raspberries, wild cherries and dogwoods in a rural household that lives on the mountain, 
   • Head to Lake Kneževo, where we will enjoy the beautiful nature and a walk around the lake through the clean ecological area. Afterwards, we will go to lunch together in a restaurant located in the beautiful nature of Zletovska Reka. 
   • Return to your accommodation in Skopje to conclude the tour.
