Itinerary

1. Day 1 : Ifaty – Ankasy – Tsiandamba

   • Morning: Depart Nairobi and travel south on the scenic RN9, enjoying diverse landscapes.
   • Afternoon:
     • Arrive in Ifaty, a beautiful seaside town known for its clear waters and coral reef.
     • Embark on a cultural cruise in a traditional Vezo pirogue with a local guide.
     • Explore the lagoon, learn about the Vezo people's way of life, and admire the coastal villages.
     • Refreshment stop at the village of Madiorano, known for its lagoon and beaches.
   • Late Afternoon: Continue the journey to Ankasy, a peaceful haven, for relaxation.
   • Evening: Arrive in Tsiandamba, a charming village with white stone houses and a lively market.
     • Enjoy the beaches and colorful pirogues.

2. Day 2 : Tsiandamba – Salary – Andravony

   • Morning: Meet your guide at the hotel and depart for Salary.
   • Mid-Morning: 
     • Travel along the scenic coastline with white sands, blue lagoons, and mangroves near coral reefs.
     • Options for water sports like diving, canoeing, and snorkeling may be available.
     • Explore nearby Vezo villages and learn about their way of life.
   • Afternoon:
     • Proceed to Andravony, known for the great white dune, offering panoramic views.
     • Embark on a quad bike adventure through the baobab forest towards Baie des Assassins.
     • Enjoy a Vezo pirogue cruise, exploring the forests inhabited by the Mikea tribes.
     • Meet the Mikea people and learn about their unique hunter-gatherer lifestyle.
   • Evening: Check-in at your hotel in Andravony.

3. Day 3 : Andravony – Ambatomiloha – Bay Of Assassins

   • Morning: Depart Andravony for a short stop at Ambatomilo, a picturesque fishing village with stunning lagoon views.
   • Mid-Morning: Continue the journey to Baies des Assassins near Andavadaoka.
   • Afternoon: Explore the Baies des Assassins, known for its beautiful beaches, fishing villages, and fresh seafood specialties.
   • Evening: Enjoy your last night on the Vezo pirogue cruise.

4. Day 4 : Bay Of Assassins – Andavadaoka

   • Embark on a unique Vezo pirogue experience across the lagoon from Baie des Assassins to Andavadaoka, another Vezo fishing village. 
   •  Learn traditional Vezo fishing techniques such as harpooning, using spikes, or nets with the help of your guide.
   • Morning: Explore the wonders of Andavadaoka beyond the beach and lagoon.
   • Activity: Discover a hidden paradise of uniquely shaped baobab trees (bottle trees) nestled within a thorny forest teeming with endemic plant life like euphorbias and didieraceae.
   • Evening: Check in to your hotel in the nearest town with your guide's assistance.

5. Day 5 : The Islands Around Morombe

   • You will be accompanied by your guide to tour the coral islets around Morombe.
   • Visit Timpoy in the south, Nosy Lava, Nosy Be, Nosindolo and Nosy Andramona in the north. Because of the distance between these islets as well as the time necessary to better discover the beauty of these islets, this adventure will last two days.

6. Day 6 : The Islands Around Morombe

   • Continuation of the visit to the Islands around Morombe.

7. Day 7 : Morombe – Toliara

   • Morning: Arrive back in Toliara (Tuléar).
   • Activity: Explore Andombiry, home to Madagascar's largest baobab, the 30-meter-circumference Tsitakakantsa, known for its sound-dampening properties.
   • Afternoon: Reach Bevoay, a village on the banks of the Mangoky River, marking the end of your Vezo pirogue adventure.
   • In Bevoay (meaning "many crocodiles"), you might see crocodiles and have the opportunity to try crocodile meat (local custom).
   • Take a ferry across the Mangoky River with your guide, enjoying scenic views of the baobab forest.
