Itinerary

1. Day 1 : Arrival in Nosy be

   • Arrival and meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

2. Day 2 : City tour of Nosy be

   • This tour allows you to discover the inside of Nosy Be. Among other highlights, you will visit Lemuria Land. In the center of Nosy Be, Hellville boasts nice colonial buildings and a nice local market. Outside Hellville, you can see the sacred Banyan tree among the many perfumes of coffee, pepper, vanilla and Ylang Ylang along the way.
   • You’ll end the tour by visiting Mont Passot, the highest site in Nosy Be. From there, you’ll enjoy the sunset before returning to the hotel.

3. Day 3 : Nosy Iranja

   • Considered one of the ten most beautiful islands in the world, Nosy Iranja is one hour and a half from Nosy Be by speed boat. The island comprises two small islands (Small Iranja and Great Iranja) connected by a white sandbank visible at low tide. With its turquoise waters, the island has a genuine paradise feel. It is home to sea turtles, who come there to lay eggs, hence its nickname as the turtle island. Nosy Iranja also has a large share of seabirds: sterns, marine eagles…
   • After your picnic lunch on the beach, under the shade of coconut trees, you can also visit the Great Iranja Island’s lighthouse and the Iranja village.

4. Day 4 : Free day at the Hotel

   • Breakfast at the hotel and a day at leisure.

5. Day 5 : Lokobe Reserve

   • Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Lokobe Reserve. Lokobe is the last primary forest of Nosy Be, with numerous medicinal and endemic plants and its millenial trees. For those reasons, Lokobe attracts many scientists every year. Beyond that, it also has a rich fauna: nocturnal and diurnal lemurs (Macaco and Lepilemurs), snakes, chameleons, insects and tropical birds. 
   • You will be transferred by car to the village of Ambatozavavy; from there, you will embark on a traditional boat or motor boat along the mangroves to access the reserve. 

   Overnight at the hotel.

6. Day 6 : Komba and Tanikely

   • You will embark on a mini-cruise aboard a catamaran to enjoy the two islands near Nosy be.
   • Your first stop is Nosy Komba, the second-biggest island in the area behind Nosy Be. It is a traditional fishermen’s village with a handicraft market where you can shop for sculptures and traditional tablecloths. Nosy Komba is also famous for its small Lemur park.
   • Afterwards, you will reach Nosy Tanikely, a marine reserve that shelters multi-coloured fish, corals, anemones, and even sea turtles. Snorkelling (equipment provided) in Nosy Tanikely is a truly unique experience, as one feels inside a real-life aquarium. After the snorkelling session, the seafood picnic lunch will take place on the catamaran.

7. Day 7 : Sakatia Island

   • After Breakfast, go to  Nosy Sakatia. Barely touched by modernism, Nosy Sakatia is the most authentic island of Nosy Be and has since become a protected site.
   • With your local guide, you will discover the inside of Nosy Sakatia during an hour-and-a-half-long trek. Sakatia's many riches include a superb diversity of tree species: flamboyants, coffee, pepper pots, vanilla, mangoes, guava, raphia, etc.
   • You will also be able to share the culture and traditional activities of the local villagers throughout our visits.
   • Depending on the tide, you can swim with the turtles in the morning or afternoon (you'll need the exact excursion date to check the tide).

   Overnight at the hotel. 

8. Day 8 : Departure

   • After the last dive in Nosy, our staff will transfer you to the airport according to your flight schedule.
