Itinerary

1. Day 1

   • You will be greeted on arrival by your English-speaking guide from I Travel 2 Madagascar, who will help you finish all the formalities and transfer you to the hotel.

2. Day 2

   • After breakfast at the hotel, depart for a visit to to Peyreiras Reptile Reserve (3 hours on drive) to see up close captive panther chameleons, island chameleons, stump-tail chameleons, Brookesia chameleons, golden mantella frogs, tomato frogs, Madagascar tree boas, leaf-nose snakes, cat-eyed snakes, tenrecs, numerous species of leaf tail geckos. 
   • The curators of the reserve usually take the animals out of their enclosures to allow close photographs. 
   • Continue to Andasibe with stops at the landscapes for photos and any breaks if necessary.

3. Day 3

   • After breakfast, meet with your guide with for the visit of Andasibe-Mantadia National Park and trek along trails to see wild diademed sifakas, wooly sifakas, common brown lemur and the famous Indri Indri. 
   • Explore the trails for orchids and birdlife. In the afternoon, you will visit the Vakona lodge’s reserve to see common brown sifaka, grey bamboo lemurs and the black and white ruffed lemurs. 
   • Head back to Antananarivo with stops for lunch along the road

4. Day 4

   • After breakfast at the hotel, transfer directly to Antananarivo airport for a flight to Nosy Be, located in the Mozambique Chanel, its name means “big island” and the climate is nearly perfect all year.

5. Day 5

   • Excursion to Nosy Tanikely, a marine reserve lures snorkelers and bird enthusiasts. It is a lovely little island. In clear water, you can see an amazing variety of marine life : coral, starfish, anemones, every colour and shape of fish, turtles and lobsters. 
   • We may see black and brown lemurs, flying foxes and graceful white-tailed tropic birds and then the short climb up to the lighthouse at the top of the island.
   • Late in the afternoon, admiring the sunset to Mont Passot, it is one of the island’s highest point which is about 326m.

6. Day 6

   • A visit to the island of Nosy Be by car will be organised, where you will discover Andilana Beach, the cascade, and Sacred trees.

7. Day 7

   • Excursion to Nosy Iranja, 50 km southwest of Nosy Be, this is actually a pair of small islands connected by a 1.25 km sandbar (walkable at low tide).
   • It has incredibly clear turquoise waters, beautiful white beaches and a charming old lighthouse.

8. Day 8

   • Relax time on your own and then one of our guide will transfer you to the airport for the departure to Antananarivo.

9. Day 9

   • Ampefy is a beautiful village situated at 120 km west of Antananarivo. It is one of the most appreciated place to spend the week end for people from the city and for tourist. 
   • The famous Itasy lake, the Lily waterfall, the Ilot de la vierge and the Geyser of Amparaky are the main attraction sites that you will visit.
   • Visit of the Geyser of Analavory and the Ilot de la Vierge.

10. Day 10

    • After breakfast, embarque in a dugout canoe, crossing Itasy lake then arrival at Ilot de la Vierge.
    • Visit of Lily Waterfall and head back to Antananarivo.

11. Day 11

    • Visit of the city of Antananarivo where you get in contact with the Merina Tribe culture.

12. Day 12

    • You will be transferred by one of our guide before your international flight.
