Itinerary

1. Podgorica – Morača Canyon – Kolašin – National Park Biogradska Gora – Morača Monastery

   • Depart by appointment and drive by car, minivan, van or bus to the train station in Podgorica. Duration of the drive – 1h to 1h 30 min (depending on the place – city of your accommodation/stay).
   • Travel by train from Podgorica – Kolašin – about one h 30 min.
   • Sit on a train and slowly travel high above the north. You will pass high through the canyon cliffs, where you will enjoy the view of the Morača River and the Platije Canyon. You will surely be delighted with what you see. From there, the peaks of Maganik, Žurim and Stožac are also seen. Next, you will cross the bridge on Mala Rijeka, one of the highest in Europe (498 m long and 200 m high).
   • Arrive at Kolašin. Kolašin is 954 m above sea level and offers excellent holidays in winter and summer.
   • Learn how Bjelasica has a well-known ski resort just a few kilometres from the city. Many call this city an aerial spa due to its height and extraordinary climatic conditions.
   • Check out a unique botanical garden in Kolašin, a true treasure of flora of the continental part of Montenegro.
   • Drive to Biogradska Gora National Park – 15 min.
   • Enjoy the national park sightseeing and tour around Biogradsko Lake – 1 hour.
   • Back to the city centre.
   • Embark on a city tour and get free time for a walk or lunch with the enjoyment of traditionally prepared Montenegrin specialities – 1 hour, 1 hour, 30 mins.
   • Return and drive by car, minivan, van, minibus or bus to Morača monastery – 40 min.
   • Visit Morača Monastery – 30 min.
   • Continue driving towards the town of your accommodation/stay.
   • Arrive at the city of accommodation/stay—at the end of the tour.
