Description
Travel from Marrakech to Imlil, a small village in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Pass through Ait Mizane Valley and the village of Aroumd. Enjoy a trekking tour of Toubkal, the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco, and North Africa, located in the Toubkal National Park. Climb up to the Toubkal refuge and witness breathtaking views of the Atlas valley and the Berber villages. Bet a race with the mules, breathe in the picturesque view from the top and sleep under the stars.
Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech-Imlil-Toubkal Refuge
Pick up from the hotel in Marrakech and travel to Imlil Village.
Proceed to the Ait Mizane Valley and pass through the village of Aroumd.
Continue east, cross the flood plains and walk along the mule tracks up into the high rocky cliffs above the valley.
Cross the river and arrive at the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, which attracts tourists and pilgrims.
Climb steadily, snaking and zigzagging your way up to the snowline and arrive at the Toukbal Refuge.
Overnight stay at the refuge.

Day 2: Toukbal Refuge-Jebel Toubkal-Imlil
Wake up early in the morning and start the hiking tour of Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in Northern Africa.
Pass through the south cirque crossing the stream above the refuge.
Enjoy the scenic views of the beautiful landscape along the way.
Arrive at the summit and see the vistas across the surrounding landscape that are quite breathtaking.
Enjoy the unrestricted views in every direction, from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara.
Retrace your steps while descending the mountain and head back to Imlil.
