Itinerary

1. Day 1: Marrakech to Ait Bougmez Valley (1800m)

   • Depart at 8:00 am from Marrakech mountain city, which gives access to beautiful nature. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful scenery that characterises the central High Atlas to the Happy Valley.

   • Get welcomed to Berber life with a mint tea and a free walk through the valley and fields of Ait Bougmez.

   Night lodging (6-hour drive).

2. Day 2: Ait Bougmez to Ait Imi Pass (2900 m) to Valley Zerkan to Tighremt Ait Hamed (2300m)

   • Start to climb from Ait Imi at 2000 m to 2910m, a 4 hour ascent. At the top, discover a great panoramic view.

   • Then, find an easy path to go down to the valley of Ouzighimt which is full of different villages of Berbers.

   (6 h 30m walk, 1100m ascent and 600m descent)

3. Day 3: Tighremt Ait Ahmed to Valley Ouzighimt to Imi N'irkt

   • This day consists of the descent into the Ouzighimt valley, a beautiful valley with a population of women who are always in full swing at work on the fields, collecting wood for making fire. Our walk will be all along the river, which binds several villages.

   • Lunch will be at the edge of Taghraft. Then, we will continue our journey to the town of Imi N’irkt. 

   Overnight in tents. (5h30 Walk. 500m descent)

4. Day 4: Imi N'irkt to Tighanimine

   • Today, cross several rivers. We will be in the water, which is often pleasantly cold and refreshing in the summer.

   • Take a break for hot tea and have lunch near Ifas fas.

   Overnight in tents. The camp will be at the village Tighanimine.

   (5 hours walking. 500m descent)

5. Day 5: Tighanimine to Boutaghrar

   • This day begins with a walk through fields of trees (fig, walnut and apple) before reaching Boutarghrar Valley.

   • Lunch will be provided near the village of Tamgalouna. 

   Overnight in tent. (5h30 walk. 400m descent)

6. Day 6: Final departure

   • Depart at 8 am towards the city Kelaa Mgouna, known worldwide for its roses that bloom in April and its large Rose Festival, which is organized in the first week of May each year.

   • After 90km, continue crossing Ouarzazate City; then we drive through the famous snacking road of Tizi N Tichka 2260m towards Marrakech.

   • Arrive in Marrakech in the evening.
