1. Fez Medina Walking Tour

   • Morning (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

     • Meet at Bab Bou Jeloud (Blue Gate): Commence your tour at the iconic Blue Gate, an easily accessible central meeting point.

     • Chouara Tannery: Head to Chouara Tannery in the early morning when the colours are vibrant. Witness the traditional leather-dyeing process and grab a sprig of mint to combat the odours.

     • Al-Attarine Madrasa: Visit this beautifully decorated 14th-century Islamic school to admire the intricate tilework and architecture.

     • Bou Inania Madrasa: Continue to this historic madrasa to explore more stunning tilework and intricate carvings.

   • Lunch Break (12:00 PM - 1:30 PM)

     • Enjoy a Traditional Moroccan Lunch: Find a local restaurant or café within the medina to savour Moroccan cuisine. Try a tagine or couscous and top it off with some refreshing mint tea.

   • Afternoon (1:30 PM - 5:00 PM)

     • Kairaouine Mosque and University: Visit the historic Kairaouine Mosque and University. While non-Muslims cannot enter the mosque, you can appreciate its architectural beauty from the outside.

     • Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts and Crafts: Explore the Nejjarine Museum to see a collection of traditional woodworking tools and art pieces.

     • Dar Batha Museum: Walk to the Dar Batha Museum, which houses a wide range of Moroccan art and artifacts, including ceramics, textiles, and woodwork.

   • Late Afternoon (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM)

     • Zaouia Moulay Idriss II: Head to the Zaouia Moulay Idriss II and experience the spiritual atmosphere of the area. Please be mindful of prayer times and dress modestly if you plan to enter.

     • Bab Rcif and Souks: Take a leisurely stroll through Bab Rcif and immerse yourself in the bustling markets. Explore the various souks, haggle for souvenirs, and soak in the local culture.

   • Evening (7:00 PM - 9:00 PM)

     • Bab Boujloud Gardens: After exploring, relax in the serene Bab Boujloud Gardens just outside the Blue Gate. It's a great place for a peaceful evening break.

     • Dinner in the Medina: Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant within the Medina. Savour more Moroccan dishes or try street food like grilled skewers and pastries.
