Itinerary

1. Day 1: Marrakech to High Atlas to Telouet to Ait Ben Haddou to Ouarzazate

   • Depart at 08:00 am from Marrakech to Ouarzazate via the High Atlas mountains Tizi n'Tichka pass throughout the high Atlas Mountains range.

   • Visit the Telouet Kasbah and the universal Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah as it has been named by UNESCO in 1987.

   • Pass through Ouarzazate - the Hollywood of Africa since it is a famous destination for filmmakers. 

   Overnight in Ouarzazate.

2. Day 2: Ouarzazate to Dades Valley to Todra Gorges

   • From Ouarzazate, drive towards Dades Gorges along the Valley of Roses. 

   • Get directly to Dades valley and enjoy the beautiful green fields of figs and almonds. 

   • Pass through many hamlets and villages along the way before arriving at Todra Gorges.

   Overnight in a Kasbah overlooking the river.

3. Day 3: Todra Gorges to Erfoud to Merzouga Dunes

   • From Todra Gorges, start to drive towards Erg Chebbi along the arid landscapes and volcanic mountains of the Anti Atlas. 

   • Pass through a town called Tinjedad, the nerve centre of the area, and Erfoud, which is famous for its fossil factories where they make beautiful shapes and pieces from the rock of the neighbouring mountains. 

   • Head for the Erg Chebbi sand sea.

   • Continue deeper into the desert landscape until dunes appear in the middle of nowhere.

   Overnight in a Berber tented camp.

4. Day 4: Erg Chebbi to Ziz Valley to Midelt to Azrou to Ifrane to Fes

   • After having breakfast, camel trek back to the hotel at the dunes and go for a quick shower. 

   • Drive towards Fes, stop on the road to enjoy the panoramic views over the Ziz valley before crossing the High Atlas Mountains again. 

   • Stop by a town called Midelt to have lunch.

   • Pass Azrou then Ifrane and its huge cedar wood forest to see the monkeys. 

   • Continue to the legendary city of Fes.
