Description
Enjoy a 6-day trek to climb to the summit of Mount Toubkal, and experience some spectacular views of the Atlas Mountain ranges. Spend some time with the Berber people and get to know their cultures and way of living.
Itinerary

Day 1 : Marrakech to Tizi Oussem
Wake up early and get refreshed.
After an early breakfast, leave the bustling Marrakech for a 1.5 hr journey to Imi Oughlad, a small Berber village.
Meet the cook, muleteers, and mules who will accompany us on the adventure which really starts here, at the gateway to the High Atlas Mountains and surrounding valleys.
Trek over the first mountain pass, Tizi n'Techt into the adjoining Eastern Valley.
After a couple of hours of steady ascent, summit the pass and enjoy the first Moroccan trek.
Have lunch and continue South, passing through 3 villages and exploring this fantastic, less visited valley to Tizi Oussem, a small village.
Rest overnight in the first traditional gite here.
Duration: 5 hours trek.

Day 2 : Tizi Oussem village to Armed village
The next morning, continue up this valley to enjoy marvelous views of remote shepherd homesteads and arrive at the head of the valley to witness fantastic waterfalls (the Cascades d'Irhoulidene) beyond the last gite in the valley.
Enjoy a well-earned break.
Return part-way down the valley and steadily ascend up to another mountain pass, Tizi h'Mzik (2,489m), benefitting from fantastic views and cross back over into the main Asni Valley, and descend down towards Imlil (another Berber village) with views across to Jebel (Mount) Oukiemaden and its surrounding peaks.
Reach the village and enjoy a well-earned meal and night's rest.

Day 3 : Armed Village to Toubkal Refuge (3200m)
Trek up from around (1,800 m), crossing the valley floor and ascending the valley side, arriving at Sidi Chamharouch for 11's, traditional Berber Whisky - (Mint Tea) (2,350 m).
Refreshed, continue ascending along a new, hanging valley and after a couple of hours, catch the first glimpse of our target, the Neltner Mountain Refuge at 3,207 m. This is the 'Base Camp' for the next 3 nights.
Duration: 5 hours trek.

Day 4 : Toubkal Refuge to Toubkal summit
After an early breakfast, set off on our 'Summit Day' Jebel Toubkal at 4,167 m.
After about 4 hours, reach the summit.
After due celebrations, photos, and well-earned rest and picnic, return to the Base Camp then trek back down via Sidi Chamharouch.
Enjoy a hot shower, rest, and reflection on a job well done.
Have a celebratory meal and chat.
Duration: 8 hours trek.

Day 5 : Armed to Tinerhourhine
After breakfast, leave Armed walking down to Imlil.
Trek over Tamatert pass to the Imnane Valley.
From here, see the incredible panoramas across the High Atlas at every turn.
Slowly descend to Imnan valley.
Overnight in local Gite at Tinerhourhine village.
Duration: 5 hours trek.

Day 6 : Tinerhourhine to Marrakech
After breakfast, walk down following Imnane Valley and pass through several Berber villages of Ikkis, Amssakrou and Imsker.
Trek over a small pass Tizi n'lbour to reach Imi Oughlad.
After lunch, continue on by private vehicle to your hotel in Marrakech.
Take a good night's rest.
Duration: 6 hours trek.
