Description
Do this lovely trek that allows for a slower walking pace for explorations of terraced valleys, waterfalls and the highest peak here. There is also the option to summit the sister peak of Toubkal, Ouanoukrim (4,088 m), making it an extra day for this tour. Pass through colourful Berber villages, over nice mountain passes, slowly ascending to the top of Mount Toubkal in this 3-day trek!

Day 1: Marrakech to Imlil to Azzedane Valley
After your transfer from Marrakech to Imlil (1,780 m), you will set off on a 6-hour trek out of the Imlil Valley and into the Azzadene Valley. Along the way, you will pass by the Tizi N’Mzik at 2,450 m, the refuge at Azib n’Tansoult and the Ighouliden waterfalls.
Overnight stay will be in the Lipeney mountain refuge at 3,000 m (or before at Azib n Tamsoult).

Day 2: Azzadene Valley to Toubkal Refuge
Today involves a fairly stiff climb out of the Azzadene Valley to the Toubkal Refuge over the Aguelzim Mountain pass at 3,560 m. Lunch will be taken with spectacular views over the Atlas Mountain Range.
Overnight stay will be in the Toubkal Refuge (Niltner Hut), where you will likely share a bunk room with other trekkers who are planning to tackle Toubkal early the next morning.

Day 3: Toubkal Summit to Imlil to Marrakech
Be up early for the climb to Mt Toubkal (4,167 m). From here, you will have wonderful views of the Atlas mountain ranges and the Sahara Desert amidst the floating clouds. You will then take a long way back down, passing the refuge and finally taking the well-worn path back to Imlil. This will be a fairly long day with about 8-9 hours of trekking, involving 900 m up and then almost 2,500 m back down to Imlil! With demanding walks and stunning mountain scenery, this trek is suitable for experienced trekkers seeking a new dimension and a challenge.
After the climb, you will be dropped off at around 5:00 pm at Marrakech.
