Itinerary

1. Day 1- Marrakech - Imlil - Toubkal Refuge

   • Commence your adventure with a prompt 8:30 am pick-up from your Marrakech location. Our skilled driver will navigate the 64 km journey to the picturesque village of Imlil in the High Atlas Mountains, a scenic drive taking approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Upon reaching Imlil at 1740m, meet your local guide and a muleteer with a mule to effortlessly transport your luggage.
   • After a transfer to the little village of Imlil, we will begin our 5 to 6-hour walk to the Toubkal base camp at 3207m. Enjoy a thoughtfully prepared lunch by our experienced cook en route.
   • We will then continue east. After crossing the flood plains, our route will take us along mule tracks and up into the high rocky cliffs above the valley.
   • Crossing the river, we will eventually come to the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, which attracts tourists and pilgrims. 
   • From here, the trail continues to climb steadily, snaking and zigzagging its way up to the snowline and the Toubkal Refuge (3206m), our stop for the night. Approx. 4 to 5hrs walking.
   • With an approximate 1467m elevation gain, dinner and breakfast will be served at the base camp, setting the stage for a memorable ascent.

2. Day 2- Refuge Toubkal - Toubkal Summit - Imlil - Marrakech

   • Embark on an early morning start with a 4:30 am breakfast. Continue your exhilarating journey to the summit of Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in Northern Africa, an awe-inspiring climb taking a maximum of 3 hours. Revel in the breathtaking 360-degree views from the highest point in North Africa at 4167m, surrounded by the enchanting Atlas Mountains Range. Capture the magic of the moment before descending to the base camp.
   • When you reach the summit, the vistas across the surrounding landscape are breathtaking. There are unrestricted views in every direction, from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara. Your luggage will be efficiently transferred back to Imlil by mule, ensuring ease as you savour lunch on the descent.
   • By approximately 3 pm, we return to Imlil and then transfer back to Marrakech with our driver. Cherish the unforgettable memories and unique joys that set our expedition apart.
