Itinerary

1. Day 1: Marrakech - Tizi N.Tichka - Ouarzazate - Zagora

   • After breakfast, depart from Marrakech at around 8:00 in the morning, crossing the High Atlas mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass towards Ait Benhaddou village, the fortified ksar. 
   • Once you get to Ait Benhaddou village, walk to the top of the hill for scenic views.
   • Then, head to Ouarzazate for lunch, next to the famous Kasbah of Taourirt, which presents Ouarzazate's historical and cultural interests.
   • Continue through lunar landscapes and the Pre-Sahara routes until you get to Zagora, a small town, the native region of the Saadian dynasty (Saadian tombs in Marrakech), which used to rule Morocco in the XVII century. 
   • Arrive at Tamgroute (18 km), a small village where most locals are pottery handicrafts. Tamgroute is also well known for its old Koranic school and library. The next five kilometres will let you see the first dunes of Zagora, called Tinfou Dunes.
   • Ride the camels at sunset and get to camp at an Oasis.

   Overnight in nomad tents.

2. Day 2: Zagora- Marrakech

   • Enjoy a sunrise on the dunes before you go for a camel ride back to Zagora.
   • Board your vehicle and return to Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley and Agdz.
   • In Ouarzazate, pay a visit to the Taourirt Kasbah and enjoy lunch.

   Travel back to Marrakech in the afternoon.
