Itinerary

1. Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley

   • Depart from Marrakech and begin the journey in the bustling city known for its vibrant markets, historical sites, and colourful streets.
   • Enjoy a scenic drive through the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains, offering stunning views of the rugged landscape.
   • Arrive at the ancient fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore the narrow alleys, climb to the top for panoramic views, and savour traditional Moroccan cuisine for lunch at a local restaurant.
   • Visit the Atlas Cinema Studio in Ouarzazate, one of the largest film studios in the world, and discover the sets and props from famous movies.
   • Drive through the lush Skoura palm grove, dotted with ancient kasbahs, and continue to the Rose Valley, renowned for its rose cultivation and production of rose water.
   • End the day in the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and stunning gorges, and check into your hotel to enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and rest up for the next day's adventures.

2. Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga

   • Exploration of Tinghir and Todra Gorge After breakfast, depart for Tinghir, a charming town at the edge of the High Atlas Mountains. 
   • Visit the Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon with towering limestone cliffs. Take a leisurely walk through the gorge, enjoying the serene beauty and perhaps dipping your toes in the cool waters of the river that runs through it.
   • Continue driving to Tinjdad, where you'll stop for lunch. 
   • Savour local dishes in a cosy restaurant, and perhaps visit the Ksar El Khorbat Museum to learn more about the region's history and culture.
   • Drive to Erfoud. 
   • After lunch, head towards Erfoud, a small town known for its fossil finds and date palm groves. This town serves as the gateway to the Sahara Desert.
   • Overnight in a Nomad Tent in Merzouga Finally, arrive in Merzouga, where you'll experience the magic of the Sahara Desert.
   • You'll be welcomed at a desert camp and spend the night in a traditional nomad tent. Enjoy a hearty dinner, listen to traditional Berber music around the campfire, and gaze at the star-filled sky before retiring to your tent.

3. Day 3: Exploring Merzouga

   • 4x4 Desert Adventure: Start your day with an exhilarating 4x4 adventure. Visit a nomad village to learn about the traditional way of life in the desert. Your journey will take you deep into the heart of the Merzouga Desert, where you can marvel at the endless dunes and the stark, beautiful landscape.
   • Visit a Gnawa house to experience the unique music and culture of the Gnawa people, descendants of African slaves brought to Morocco centuries ago. Enjoy a live performance of their trance-inducing music and learn about their history and traditions.
   • For lunch, head to a nomad restaurant and savor a traditional nomad pizza. This unique dish is cooked in the sand and filled with a delicious mix of meats and spices, offering a taste of the culinary traditions of the desert.
   • Relaxation and Leisure at the Hotel. Return to your hotel in the afternoon for some well-deserved relaxation. Enjoy the swimming pool, nap, or simply unwind while soaking in the peaceful desert ambience.
   •  As the sun sets, the desert transforms into a serene and mystical place, perfect for quiet contemplation.
   • Overnight in the Hotel. 
   • End your day with a sumptuous dinner at the hotel and a restful night's sleep, preparing for the journey back to Marrakech.

4. Day 4: Return to Marrakech

   • Drive Back through Scenic Landscapes: Begin your journey back to Marrakech after breakfast. 
   • Pass through picturesque landscapes, including Rossini, Alnif, Tazarine, N'Qoub, and Tansikht. Each of these small towns and villages has its own unique charm and offers a glimpse into Moroccan rural life.
   • Lunch En Route: Stop at a local restaurant along the way. Enjoy a leisurely meal, sampling more of the local cuisine, and take a break from the long drive.
   • Arrival in Marrakech: Continue your drive, and as you approach Marrakech, reflect on your incredible journey. 
   • Arrive in Marrakech late afternoon or early evening, bringing your four-day adventure to a close.
