Itinerary

1. Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Erfoud

   • Meet your tour guide, start your Sahara desert Morocco tour, begin travelling south to Merzouga desert via Midelt and Errachidia. 
   • Your first stop will be at Ifrane city, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”, and then to Merzouga via Midlet and the Ziz Valley. During this journey, you will experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas Mountains. 
   • Stop at the famous cedar forest – the largest one in Morocco – where you will have the opportunity to see the Barbarian apes. You will notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach Er Rachidia city. 
   • After lunch in Midelt, your journey continues along the spectacular Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way.
   • Later, arrive at your destination, where you will ride your camel to see the sunset in the middle of the dunes and spend the night there. Overnight at our desert camp where you will have your dinner. (well-equipped camp including dinner and breakfast.

   Accommodation: Sahara Magic Camp.
   Meals: Dinner and Breakfast.

2. Day 2: Sahara Desert Morocco – Todgha Gorge – Dades Valley

   • Wake early to admire the desert sunrise, take breakfast, then transfer out of the dunes by camel-back to rejoin your vehicle to take the road to Dades valley (or if you are travelling by 4×4, you can be collected at the camp).
   • Leave for Tinghir and Todgha gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. Here you will have the opportunity to hike along its valley. 
   • Drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sandcastles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. 

   Overnight accommodation will be in a riad or a guesthouse in the heart of the gorge.

   Meals: Dinner and Breakfast.

3. Day 3: Dades Valley – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Marrakech

   • After breakfast, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is named the way of thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip.
   • Stop at Kalaat M’Gouna, “the rose city”, to purchase the rosewater.
   • Continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”, lunch will be at the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. It is recognized by UNESCO as a world patrimony. It is famous as a backdrop for many films, including ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, ‘Gladiator’.
   • Proceed to the majestic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains. We will have some stops of beautiful panoramic views before arriving at your accommodation in Marrakech, where your Fes to Marrakech tours ends.
