Day trip from Marrakech
- Meet your guide at Marrakech and visit an argan oil co-operative and a traditional Berber souk (market) on your way to Atlas Mountain.
- Arrive in Imlil and go for a trek by foot or camel to Armed, the highest and largest village in Imlil Valley. You will cross several waterfalls and the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa, and Imola.
- Stop at an isolated village, Tamatert, to view ancient irrigated barley fields, corn, and vegetables, surrounded by cherry and walnut trees.
- Have your traditional Moroccan lunch at the Ait Souka Village with a Berber family.
- Next, head to Kik Plateau, at 1,800 meters altitude, offering spectacular 360-degree views of the valley of alpine flowers.
- Visit Lalla Takerkoust Lake. Have tea and enjoy the views of the lake.
- Drive to Agafay Desert to see the tranquillity of the countryside.
- Pass through the stone desert, barren light brown plateaus, Bedouin villages, oases, and high hills with panoramic views to High Atlas.
- Get the timing right to enjoy the sunset before returning to Marrakech.
