Itinerary

1. Day 1: Marrakech - Foussaraou

   • You will be picked up from your Hotel or Riad in Marrakech. Drive to Imlil, the starting point of your trek.

   • Cross the Tizi-n-Tamatert (2279m) which takes you to Tinoughrine and Ouneskra. Finally, reach the camp in Foussarou. 

   Duration: 4-hour trek

2. Day 2: Tizi-n-likemt - Azib likemt

   • Wake up for an early morning tough hike up to the Tizi-n-Likemt (3550m) which offers a panoramic view of the horizon. The descent is long as the ascent. Have lunch at the campsite at Azib Likemt (2550m). 

   Duration: 5-6 hour trek

3. Day 3: Tizi-n-ouria

   • Follow the Assif Tinzart upstream through a narrow gorge and cross the Tizi-n-Ouria (3109m). 

   • Descend to the valley floor in Amsouzart (1750m). 

   Overnight in a Gite. 

   Duration: 5-hours trek

4. Day 4: Lake Ifni

   • Trek through a green and pleasant valley until you reach Lake Ifni. 

   • Continue to a high camp (2295m) after lunch and go for a swim in the lake. 

   Duration: 4-5 hour trek

5. Day 5: Tizi-n-Ouanoums

   • Trek to one of the most spectacular pass crossings in the Atlas, the Tizi-n-Ouanoums (3650m). 

   • Descend to the camp below Mount Toubkal, near the Neltner Refuge (3207m). 

   Duration: 6-hour trek. 

6. Day 6: the summit of Jebel Toubka

   • After an early breakfast, set off on the steep ascent to the summit of Jebel Toubkal (4167m) and then return to camp for lunch.

   • Descend to Imlil in the afternoon and drive back to Marrakech.

   Duration: 8-9 hour trek
