Itinerary

1. Day 1- Arrive at Negombo - Kandy City

   • Meet your tour guide at the Negombo Airport in Sri Lanka and be ready for a warm welcome. 

   • Travel straight to the city of Kandy (3 hours away). Kandy is the home to the Temple of the Tooth and is one of the most venerable places for the Buddhist community of Sri Lanka and all around the world. 

   • Explore Kandy city and participate in the Kandy cultural dance at 5’o clock in the evening for about an hour. 

   • Be a part of a special evening puja, including a drumming ceremony in the Buddha’s tooth temple right next door and only a walking distance.

   Stay for the night in Kandy.

2. Day 2- Visit to Nuwara Eliya

   • Have a relaxing morning while exploring the beautiful nature, and afterwards, check out from the hotel to travel to Nuwara Eliya by train. 

   • Stop at the Royal Botanical Garden on the way and explore the city by foot to see organic tea plantation sites, vegetable farms, famous fruits and vegetable markets, and old historical buildings dating back to the British Colonial era.

   • Visit the highest mountain of Sri Lanka (Piduruthalagala mountain), Gregory Lake, and the spa to relax. 

   Spend the night in a luxury hotel of your choice in this glorious city of Nuwara Eliya.

3. Day 3- Explore the City of Ella

   • Check out from the hotel and travel straight to Ella, a 2-hour drive from Nuwara Eliya. Ella city is a major tourist attraction known as the 'oxygen centre of Sri Lanka' with a cool climate.

   • See the amazing Ella natural gap and the Ella rock that has the perfect view. Usually, the whole area is covered in mist in the evening, a beautiful scene for you to see.

   • Climb the little Adam’s peak (1 hour away).

   Your third night will be spent in this beautiful tourist city.

4. Day 4- Spot Wildlife at Udawalwa National Park

   • Have breakfast and head down to Udawalawa, a 2-hour drive from Ella city. 

   • Visit the natural Ravana Waterfall on the way.

   • Enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the city. Udawalawa is the perfect location for wildlife enthusiasts as you can walk around the rural area, giving you a 100% wildlife experience. 

   • Here you will also have the opportunity to visit the famous dam and taste a Sri Lankan-style lunch. 

   Check-in at a nature-friendly luxury hotel of your choice for the night.

5. Day 5- Spot Elephants in Udawalwa National Park

   • Go for Udawalawa Safari, especially famous for elephants, so, you will see whole herds of adults and young elephants feeding, bathing, and playing in the water. The highlight of this park is the bottle-feeding of elephants. This park is also home to many water buffalo, water monitor lizards, sambar deer, crocodiles, monkeys and the occasional leopards. It is also an exciting location for bird enthusiasts. 

   • Have lunch and head to Negombo. Negombo is a beautiful city and is a major tourist attraction located about one hour north of the capital city of Sri Lanka, Colombo. Here, you will be able to explore the cultural and colonial heritage of this marvellous city.

   Spend the night in the city.

6. Day 6- Departure

   • Proceed to the airport for departure.
