Itinerary

1. Day 1: Sigiriya

   • Drive to Sigiriya via Pinnawala.

   • Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage & Dambulla Golden temple.

   Night stay in Sigiriya.

2. Day 2: Sigiriya to Kandy

   • Drive from Sigiriya to Kandy.

   • Early in the morning, visit Sigiriya.

   • Spend some more time in the Batik factory and Wood carving factory (as per your choice).

   • Enjoy Elephant riding and a Village tour in Sigiriya.

   • On the way to Kandy, visit Nalanda Gedige in Nalanda and Ash Temple and a colourful Hindu Kovil in Matale.

   • Also, visit the herbal garden in Matale.

   Night stay in Kandy.

3. Day 3: Kandy City Tour

   • Go for a Kandy City Tour.

   • Visit the Tooth Relic Temple.

   • Enjoy an Upper Lake drive.

   • Spend some time near Kandy Lake.

   • Click photos of the Bahirawa Mountain.

   • Visit the Botanical gardens.

   • Take part in the Kandy traditional dance show.

   • Pay obeisance in the Degaldoruwa Temple.

   Night stay in Kandy.

4. Day 4: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

   • Drive from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya.

   • On the way, visit one of the beautiful waterfalls in Ramboda.

   • Stop for some time in the hill country tea estate and visit a tea factory.

   • In Nuwara Eliya, spend some time near the Gregory lake, New Zealand farm & Galway forest.

   • Visit Horton plains in Nuwara Eliya.

   Night stay in Nuwara Eliya.

5. Day 5: Nuwara Eliya to Ella

   • Drive from Nuwara Eliya to Ella.

   • The most beautiful railway track in the Sri-Lanka Nanuoya (nearby Nuwara Eliya) to Ella.

   • A train trip can be made to Ella today if you wish. The daily train schedule is 9.30 am, 12.30 pm and 3.30 pm.

   • After that, you will be picked up from Ella railway station and visit little Adamspeak and Rawana temple and Rawana waterfall also nine arch bridge.

   Night stay in Ella.

6. Day 6: Ella to Yala or Udawalawa

   • Morning visit to Demodara railway station to see very amazing railway track.

   • Then drive to Yala or Udawalawa (it depends on you).

   • On the way, visit Buduruwagala (an ancient Buddhist temple).

   • Also, visit Yudaganawa and Maligavila if you wish.

   Night stay at Tissa or Udawalawa.

7. Day 7: Yala or Udawalawa to Mirissa

   • Early morning approx. 6 am, leave for jungle safari and move to Mirissa by noon.

   • In the evening, rest on the beach.

   Night stay in Mirissa.

8. Day 8: Mirissa to Colombo

   • Leave in the morning to see Whales and Dolphins to Mirissa fisheries harbour.

   • Then back to Colombo, see stilt fishermen, Turtle hatchery, Mask museum. Also, do a boat safari on the Madu river.

   Night stay in Colombo or drop to Airport.
