Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival, your Sri Lankan tour guide will receive you at the airport and drive you to Negombo which is a 20 minutes drive.

Day 2: Towards Anuradhapura
Drive to Anuradhapura to do a city tour.
Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.

Day 3: Visits to historical sites
Visit the cradle of the Sinhalese Buddhist civilizations. Here, see the main attractions like Yaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanweliseya Dagoba, Mirisavetiya Dagoba, Jetavanarama Stupa, Tuparama Stupa, Abhayagiri Dagoba, Twin Ponds and Isurumuniya Vihara.
Take a break for lunch.
Proceed to Mihintale, which is a religious place and also of historical importance. Here the earliest introduction of Buddhism to Sri Lanka took place in 247 BC. The site contains a range of mountain peaks, a Vihara complex with dagobas and ruins of monuments and structures.

Day 4: Proceed to Sigiriya
After breakfast, proceed to yet another UNESCO world heritage site in Sri Lanka - Sigiriya. It is a beautiful ancient palace built atop a 660 feet tall rock column. This wonderful rock castle is a creation of King Kassapa (AD 477-495). It is also one of the biggest attractions of Sri Lanka and enchants people with its stunning frescoes.
In the afternoon around 2.30 pm, go on a safari in the Kaudulla National Park or Minneriya National Park which are home to hundreds of wild elephants.

Day 5: Will head towards Kandy
After breakfast, set off to discover the famous cave temples and also the iconic golden temple.
One of the eight world heritage sites in Sri Lanka, the Dambulla heritage site has a history dating from prehistoric and proto-historic times, till the modern period.
On our way to Kandy, stopover at Dambulla to catch a glimpse of the wonderful cave temples, ironwood forest and rose quartz mountain. Time for some photography.
While coming down from there, we can also visit the spice gardens.

Day 6: Kandy city
After breakfast, take a stroll around the Kandy Market Square. Spend some time souvenir hunting.
In the evening pay homage to one of the most sacred sites in Sri Lanka, the Temple of the Tooth or Dalada Maligawa. It is believed to house the tooth relic of the Lord Buddha.

Day 7: Head towards Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, head towards Nuwara Eliya, a city of leisure and pleasure, and en route make a visit to a Tea factory.
Visit the Ramboda waterfalls.

Day 8: Will visit the 'World End'
After breakfast, visit the 'World‘s End' at Horton Plains. The plateau here plunges 880 m and hence offers a feeling as if this is the endpoint of the world. Misty surrounding makes it more realistic.
Next, visit Gregory Lake and witness the most beautiful highlands in Sri Lanka.

Day 9: Move to Colombo
After breakfast, we travel to Colombo, en-route make a stop at the best white water rafting spot in Sri Lanka.
After spending some time there, head towards the commercial capital and the largest city with a population of nearly five million.
