Itinerary

Yala National Park Safari
- Connect with your tour guide in Colombo by 9.00 am to proceed to Tissamaharama. (Pick up from Negombo / Mount Lavinia / Wadduwa / Kalutara / Beruwala / Bentota / Ahungalla also available)
- Stop for lunch in Tissamaharama (own arrangement).
- Visit Yala National Park for a 4-hour jeep safari in the afternoon.
- After the safari, travel back to the starting point to conclude the tour.

Yala National Park- One Day Trip: Yala is an important, most popular, and second-largest wild safari in Sri Lank and is located in the southeastern region, forming of scrub, light forest, grassy plains and brackish lagoons. Among its more famous residents is the world biggest concentration of leopards, Sri Lankan elephants, as well as many other animals including sloth bears, sambar deer, wild boar, water buffalo, junglefowl, jackal, eagles etc. Enjoy a jeep safari ride while exploring all the exotic plants & animals.

Yala National Park: Yala is home to a vast variety of mammal and bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world's biggest concentration of leopards, majestic elephants, sloth bears, sambars, jackals, spotted dear, peacocks, and crocodiles. Sri Lankan leopards are said to be a distinct sub-species from their Indian neighbours. Yala National Park is rich in birdlife and around 130 species have been recorded. Raptors include crested serpent eagle and white-bellied sea eagle. Among the water birds attracted to the lagoons are Lesser Flamingo, Pelican, Spoonbill, painted stork, rare black-necked Stork, grey heron, purple heron, night heron and Darter.
